Re: “Property owners miffed by Hurst decision on historic register bid

Tear down the towers and half a thousand people (and their kin) will be relocated to apartments and rent houses in residential neighborhoods. Ask homeowners around Normandy Place and Valley Heights what that did to their property values.

Re: “New Yorker: Why the rush on Arkansas executions? And questions for the governor.

There's another silver lining: People who hurt young women and children will soon be unable to repeat the process.

Re: “Closing in Hastings shooting trial set Wednesday

I can tell by looking at your comment that you don't know shit about Josh Hastings.

Re: “Bridgeageddon begins. The Broadway Bridge is closed

Max--You come off as anti-commuter on most other subjects, from widening I-30 towards Saline County to the I-30 river bridge discussion. You regularly advocate mass transportation and bicycling as alternatives to "one person, one car" commuting (noble goals, for sure). Now that you're impacted directly, though (I see that you're predicting increased traffic through the intersection where your office is located), your demeanor seems different. Why is that?

Why aren't you riding the bus? Why aren't you riding a bicycle? I'm not being flip, I'm genuinely curious. Surely you can understand how your outrage over this issue seems the slightest bit hypocritical. Am I missing something?

Re: “Anti-abortion protestor arrested for harassing woman at clinic

The ones at LR Family Planning can be pretty despicable. I've watched them cross the street and run into the parking lot to yell or throw pamphlets into cars entering and exiting. I've even seen them leave the clinic's cul de sac to "advertise" on the busier arteries in the area. When someone is holding signs that give the exact address of the clinic and yelling at passing cars that "murder" is taking place at that address, it's hard to pretend simple protest hasn't moved closer towards incitement.

Re: “Can you afford a fuel tax increase? A can of soda pop every week?

It seems like we just approved a new sales tax for the AHTD a few years ago.…
