Arkansas-Texas football returns

Our own Jim Harris reports on his Little Rocking blog that Arkansas and Texas will reunite on the gridiron for a home-and-home series in 2008-09.

Austin American-Statesmen columnist Kirk Bohls tosses this out, that Arkansas and Texas officials have been in talks about an every year football matchup to be played in the Dallas Cowboys' new stadium in Arlington, Texas. It would replace the "Red River Shootout," the annual Texas-Oklahoma game, which may end up on each other's campus, now that the teams are in the same conference.

Anyway, it looks for certain that Arkansas and Texas will be meeting again on the football field in a home-and-home series in 2008-09, as they did in 2003-04. ARSN has future Arkansas schedules that show Texas as a nonconference opponent.

I've posted on every other item. Why not this one?

Hook 'em Horns!

And this is important because....

First, let's get a team and then find someone that we can beat beside Boise State or North Texas. At least the season is starting now without all the walkovers that Broyles used to fire up the red meat.

That means HDN can be 3-8 instead of 4-7. Mediocrity rolls on.

6-5 is mediocre. Nutt has a ways to go yet.
