Golfers' alert

Our resident golf nut had to be resuscitated this morning, his excitement was so great on getting the latest issue of Golf Digest and its article on best public courses.

The Big Creek Golf and Country Club in Mountain Home is ranked as a five-star course. I don’t know if you appreciate just how great an honor that is, but it would be as if a Mountain Home restaurant was rated in the top 18 restaurants in the U.S., like against New York’s Le Bernardin or Masa. This course is rated  along with Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill, Kiawah Island, Bethpage Black, Whispering Straits in Kohler, Wisc,
