Huckabee goes on Comedy Central
We're no longer receiving Gov. Mike Huckabee's public schedule, but the website for The Colbert Report says Huckabee will be a guest on that Comedy Central satirical political talk show.
Looks like Huckabee will be appearing on the Tuesday program. Perhaps interested viewers will contact Colbert and suggest some questions ....

Oh, this should be good.

I bet he's going to play his saxaphone.
No, wait. That was the Arkansas governor who actually became President.
I would rather watch that woman who saved the chicken from drowning on Leno. She would be a better guv.

Huckabee is probably like that Illinois gubernatorial moron who went on The Daily Show and thought it was a real talk show.

Let's just hope Colbert hits him with a upper cut of truthiness.

Can't wait! Colbert is the sharpest tack in the box. The Gov won't know he's bleeding until after the show when his arms fall off.
One must wonder what kind words Huckster will have for us folks back home. Seems he can't leave town without implying he's the only smart guy in Arkansas and the rest of us are only semi-human. Maybe Colbert will set the bears on him. Tivo up!

If he's not going to give the world the lowdown on the Wayne Dumond affair, maybe he will be willing to discuss his Action America account where he paid money from his political account to himself to lease his own airplane. That should be really side-splittin' funny!

it's the best show on television.

Questions for Mr. Colbert:
1. You like to make fun of Arkansas when you're out of town -- called your state a Banana Republic on Imus -- got any funny things about Arkansas to tell me?
2. Did you get your lap-band surgery done in or out of state? Can I see the scar? If you're elected President will you show off your scar like LBJ did his?
3. Isn't it expensive to fly around the country for TV appearances and campaiging for President in New England? Who pays for all that travel?
4. You used to be a Baptist Minister? Aren't they called by God to preach? And now you're a politician? So what did you do? Tell God he made a mistake with his first job choice for you? Telling God he's wrong; that's the kind of ballsy leadership this country needs.
5. I understand you only deal with "real" newspapers in your homestate. How do you decide who's real and who's not? Do you think this is a real news show?

Colbert hosted the White House Correspondence Dinner which was shown on C-span tonight. He absolutely roasted, toasted, sliced and diced the administration to their faces. I've never seen such balls in my life!
It will be replayed on C-Span on Sunday at either 11:30 am or 12:30 pm, I didn't get the time zone right. For those of you that can't wait, I've put the link for the download of the second half of the show in the url box. Thank you Steven for having the guts to say it to their face!

Surely the guv by now knows Colbert is satire, but remember when he fell for the funny Canadian film crew that came to town seeking accolades and congratulations for the Canadian National Igloo?

Although I am not a huge Huckabee fan, I must say he held his own well on the Report. He was quick to relieve the sometimes tense comedy questions from Colbert and appeared calm and cool through the entire interview. I, reluctantly, must give kudos to him for not falling into any typical "Arkansan" stereotypes that are frequently exploited by the national media, especially Comedy Central's.
Though his appearance spoke more for his abilities as a "weight-loss" motivator than a presidential candidate, his retort to Colbert when grilled for a candidacy declaration was pretty smooth and humorously pulled him out of a tense situation.
