Tonight on AETN
"Unconventional Wisdom," the once-a-month show I co-host with Arkansas News Bureau columnist David Sanders, airs tonight on AETN at 6:30 p.m. and will repeat Sunday at 12:30 p.m. Also, KUAR FM 89 will broadcast the audio on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. [6:05 p.m.]
We taped it on Wednesday, and Sanders and I debated the indoor workplace smoking ban, the proposal to exempt Paron High School from state education mandates, the state Republican Party's attack on Mike Beebe's tax record and Beebe's position on abortion. After that we discussed the viability of third parties in Arkansas with state Libertarian Party chairman Gerhard Langguth and state Green Party coordinator Mark Swaney. Finally, in our regular "Admit It" segment, Sanders and I concede recent instances when our ideological allies have been wrong.

Comments
Admit it .....You vote for Republicans and they give you the smaller government they promised. And it kills people. Any questions?

Any chance Huckabee will try to squash "Unconventional Wisdom" like a bug? Did you see Alice Stewart lurking behind the camera Wednesday? How was Sander's hair? Tivo is good to go.

Warwick, how come your show isn't available via podcast like Arkansas Week?
ARKBLOG: We're hoping to get a podcast soon, but it's AETN's decision. You can send them an email to ask:

"If we could slap corporate logos on politicians, like

"The US government is being stalked by an invisible bandit,
the Crony Fairy, who visits key agencies by dead of night,
snatches away qualified people and replaces them with
unqualified political appointees," writes Paul Krugman. "There's
no way to catch or stop the Crony Fairy, so our only hope
is to change the agencies' names. That way she might get
confused, and leave our government able to function."

This is probably a dumb question... but can we get the show in Fayetteville?
ARKBLOG: Yes, AETN is a statewide network.

Warwick, I hope your insistence that Asa and the Repub's are desperate because they sent out a press release attacking Beebe for Tax Increases on TAX DAY (a common technique) is supported with a little MORE facts and a little LESS whining.

While something about the set and the lighting and Mr. Sanders looks remind me of my mid 80s beta porno tape collection, I still like the show and think it will improve with time.
The part with the visually unappealing 3rd party guys was good and just shows that those of us who would like to see a 3rd party cannot yet afford to dig up good looking people....but just wait. They made good sense.
And I can't believe with the number of hopped up old people I know that anyone thinks legalizing pot for the sicksters is still a radical idea. Lord have mercy...next time you see Granny bearing down on you in her giant old Buick, check her purse.....she's sky high legally. I do not smoke pot, but I fail to see the difference.
Good job guys. Keep it up!

Hey Gay Guy, you must be a colorblind dude suffering from cataracts. Actually, my boy Sanders wore a navy chalk strip with a vest last month and a solid grey suit on the first show. His clothes are awesome, but he is putting on a little weight though -- David lighten up on the cheeseburgers!

I've managed to save up roughly $24238 in my bank account, but I'm not sure if I should buy a house or not. Do you think the market is stable or do you think that home prices will decrease by a lot?
