How is Mike Beebe fighting to block Jim Lendall from the ballot? Arkansas law requires X amount of signatures for a 3rd party candidate to get on the ballot, which is more than Lendall has. Mike isn't activly fighting to keep him off, he's just following the law of Arkansas.
Now, if Jim sues and Mike has to defend Arkansas in the case, any criticizm saying Mike is fighting to keep him off is misguided. If the state is involved in a lawsuit, the AG is constitutionally obligated to represent it. Beebe would be simply doing the job he was elected to do, not fighting against a 3rd party candidate.
Whether the law is fair or not is a completely different story, but a bad law is still a law nontheless.
Dude . . . c'mon . . . sure I signed it three times . . . . . but, I mean . . . .I was, like, a different person . . . each time. . . . . . . . uh. . . . . was I finished?

Why is this news-worthy but Blanche Lincoln's lobbyist troubles and Mike Beebe's fighting to block Jim Lendall from the ballot are not?
