Jult 6, Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will be coming to Arkansas for the Republican Party's Governor's Dinner. He'll join Gov. Huckabee, a potential presidential opponent in 2008, and current gubernatorial nominee Asa Hutchinson at the front table. A pre-dinner reception will raise money for the Hutchinson campaign. Venue: Statehouse Convention Center. Price: $125 per.

How much do I have to pay to make sure I won't be at any dinner with these people sitting at the front table. I'd rather have a prostate exam, make that 2 prostate exams.

Will the "legitimate" press be allowed to cover this exclusive God & Country Club convocation? Perhaps they'll tone down the exclusivity of it due to their election-season need to put on a populist air to some extent. Gotta Hoover the pockets of enough middle-class fools who buy into their God, Guns, and Gays bag of tricks--else they can't stay in power and loot the U.S. Treasury.

So, the white-shoe insurance agents and their West Little Rock Stepford Wives will have to stand behind the velvet rope and gawk at the hedge fund hustlers popping out of their limos until the $125 crowd is allowed in to dine on rubber chicken and gaze upon Mr. Homeland Security. Such makes for much more delicious comedy than the boring trial lawyer-laden affairs of the Dimmy-crats.

Perhaps Mit Romney and Asa will have the opportunity to talk about the universal health care program being implemented in Massachusetts.
Since the liberals want to make illegals eligible for social security and other benefits to which they are not elegible, we can expect our social security and medicare systems to go bankrupt much sooner. The Democrats and Republicans are now fighting over who can bribe the illegals more to gain votes. We should look to Mexico to learn how to deal with illegal immigration.

I wasn't sold on Romney until I heard him speak and really started researching his policy and stance on the issues. Now I'm convinced that he's the GOPs best shot in 2008. I'd recommend gettning to the event if you can. I spent the last 8 years in the South and I think that Romney will be able to overcome the "we don't like northeastern politicians" mood that is pervasive down there (I'm also planning to move back to the south!)
