New man at Emergency Management

Gov. Huckabee has elevated David Maxwell to head the state Department of Emergency Management to succeed John Brackin. Maxwell has been deputy director.

To hear the governor tell it, Brackin up and left unexpectedly. Funny, it sure looked like Brackin hurried out the door just ahead of the toe of the governor's boot for speaking too candidly about an agency unprepared for major disaster.

"The unexpected and abrupt departure of John Brackin made it necessary to fill the director's position as soon as possible with someone who has the experience and knowledge that Maxwell has," said Gov. Huckabee.

Comments

How many guys with "experience and knowledge" does this make for Huckabee since the reassignment of his Poet Laureate Bud Harper from Emergency Management to the Arkansas Tech Board of Trustees?

Was Maxwell the fellow who "didn't know" the feds would make the report the DEM submitted to them public?

David Maxwell is a good hire, finally Governor Huckabee gets one right!

Did anyone every find out what the deal was with the sudden departure of Larry Zeno?
