Another losing quarter for Tyson
Roby Brock's Talk Business blog reports:
Tyson Foods reported a $52 million net loss for its third quarter, an improvement versus the previous quarter’s $127 million loss, but a dramatic fall-off from one year ago, when the company’s profits topped $131 million.

Sabin..are you doing this subject so you can continue to bash good Arkansas companies? Son, you need to move away from this tabloid now before it's to late to save your career. You will end up like Old Brantley if you don't. Old & broke and working for an old socialist woman. Become a good conservative comentator. Rush has been on the air 18 years and has 22 million listeners. Franken has what? 200 listeners and barely hanging on. Good luck Short Stuff !!!

I guess the Wall Street Journal reporter who will write this up for tomorrow's edition is also working for a borderline operation. News is news. If you want to paint the sky as blue all the time, call Rove. He needs you to join the White House *everything is going great in ---(fill in the blank)" team.
Having published a monthly, not weekly paper for 6 years, I know how much work is demanded. I am surprised that they manage to keep the quality so high that the kool-aid drinkers have to constantly whine about the coverage.
Hey, you have your paper-the daily DoG (Democrat-it doesn't deserve to even use the word Gazette in its title.

Hmm, hard to detect any "bashing" except from you, A-11:12. Otherwise, it just looks like reporting, to me.

Rush also has a problem with perscription drug pain killers. He also can't seem to get it up, remember the Viagra bust a few weeks back. I take a pecker that works on command over 22 million listeners any day.

How in the hell can you be the largest chicken plucker in the world, charge the prices they charge for yard bird and lose money? The price of chicken has doubled in the last 5 years....it's no longer poor man food as it once was. Someone must be embezzling the money and putting it up their nose at Tyson. Call Wal-Mart and ask for some tips now!

Don't worry. The execs are still making money.

We can thank Darth Cheney and gang for some of this. Modern food processing requires energy and these maggots in Wht Hse haven't looked out for anyone. Besides I thought the Kaki
Tower went Repub last election.
They just had their beef cleared for landing in Japan and beef is their largest product line so that looks up. Bird flu scare is still costing them no matter how much the company pooh-poohs it. When they get the Russians back on to using pieces-parts profits will look better, esp if the Russians can pay up.
Increased fuel costs run all thru this company from producing feed, to raising, transporting and processing birds and beef.
Wnen the stk price drops below $10 grab it. People gotta eat and you're buying a lot of brick and mortar, not a paper pushing bookstore somewhere.

It might be time to buy some Tyson's stock. Remember, it is the buy low part which is hard.

The reason Tyson is suffering is because of 2 reasons. 1. Check out the markeks-ever since the big immigration march people are boycotting them. 2. Tyson and Cargill are big supporters of the National Animal Identification System-the one that will drive all small farms completely under. Doing so in Australia and Britan now. To you the consumer this means higher food and less quality. Remember big business is only in it for the profit. Don't believe me go to NONAIS.org and check it out yourself.
