Hillary touts the 'Billgrimage'

At a Little Rock fundraiser for her U.S. Senate re-election campaign, Hillary Clinton last night talked about visiting the home in Fayetteville where she and Bill Clinton were married.

She laughed how it is part of the "Billgrimage" as she spoke to supporters gathered at the Edgehill home of Kaki Hockersmith and Max Mehlburger.

Organized by the state dept. of parks and tourism, "Billgrims" can get a "passport" at any visitor center in Arkansas and have it stamped at the various official Clinton destinations: his birthplace home in Hope, his boyhood home in Hot Springs, the house in Fayetteville and the Clinton Center in Little Rock.

Will Jennifer or others on the Billgrimage victory trail sign it?

I cannot believe that she is fundraising for her Senate (D-NY) campaign here in Arkansas. She has a huge war-chest already and token resistance in her race. Just how much $$$ did she siphon off that might have gone to local and state candidates running in '06??
She needs to go back to NY and stay there. She doesn't like Arkansas except as a fundraising opportunity.

As we can see in the article in the New York Times today, doesn't matter what Hillary says or where she says it, there will be a "Judith Miller" to twist her words into the opposite meaning.

Hill & Bill are the only people who can save this nation. Just hope we make it to November, 2008.

I already feel the vibes of their victory and subsequent salvation of the nation floating through the air. I am uplifted by the thought of Hill standing on the podium as she is taking the oath of the presidency. I just hope that Bill doesn't try to upstage her. That rascal always likes to get attention.

I can see the Joint Chief of the Military beaming with anticipation of her leadership of our proud military might. Contemplating the changes that she will make to make our fighting machine more effective and lethal---don't you think that lace and pink will clash with OD Green?

The Chief Justice will administer the oath to her with heightened anticipation of the monumental changes that she will bring in her appointments to the court---do you think that the ACLU has that many lawyers to sit on the court. No problem, if they run out we can always go to NOW.

Oh, the joy. Oh, the glory of it all. Once again, the Clinton co-presidency will rise from the ashes of conservatism. Wait a minute---bubba is staying at home and making cookies under close scrutiny. Rumor has it that Martha Stewart will supervise his at home incarceration to ensure that no hanky panky goes on.
