Stodola enters mayoral race

Mark Stodola is officially joining the race for Little Rock mayor. He will make his announcment tomorrow morning at the Neighborhood Resource Center on East 12th St.

The field is now expanded to five, with Stodola, Barbara Graves, Jesse Mason, Drew Pritt and Bill Walker indicating their intentions to run for the seat.

Excerpts from Stodola's press release after the jump.

STODOLA PRESS RELEASE EXCERPTS

I am running for Mayor because I believe I have the leadership skills necessary to continue moving Little Rock forward and help make it the next great American city in the South. Like Austin, Atlanta and Raleigh-Durham, the combined leadership efforts of government and the private sector will allow Little Rock to prosper in our future. As your next Mayor, I am totally committed to this goal.

Economic development and entrepreneurial activity in Little Rock cannot be separated from “quality of life” issues. As your former Prosecuting Attorney, I can say with complete confidence that real economic growth will occur only after we conquer our overall crime rate problem - including the City’s skyrocketing homicide rate. This “quality of life” issue is one of the first things new businesses consider when looking to relocate. People rightfully expect government to keep them safe in their homes, in their schools, and on their streets. As a parent of two young boys and as your next Mayor, making Little Rock safe and prosperous are my top priorities.

Great strides have been made in certain areas of the City. The River Market neighborhood downtown is a great example of our progress, as is the vibrant retail and neighborhood communities in West Little Rock. However, other neighborhoods in the City, particularly in Mid-Town and Southwest Little Rock, face continuing challenges, including vacant and abandoned houses that become havens for illegal drug deals and other criminal activities. All regions of Little Rock deserve to share in the progress we will pursue. I am committed to taking back these overlooked neighborhoods so that the good and decent citizens who live there can work and play without fear.

The City faces many other challenges and as the campaign progresses. I will be outlining my plans to:
• Rebuild our Mid-Town neighborhoods with in-fill housing which will increase property values thus reducing the pressure to raise taxes

• Develop more recreational venues, such as parks and ball fields for our children in Southwest and West Little Rock

• Place a police substation in Mid-Town and make the Little Rock Police Department’s “Quiet Nights” operation permanent

• Redevelop War Memorial Park and the University Avenue corridor

• Provide more public safety services to Southwest and West Little Rock

• Enhance code enforcement to rid our city of abandoned and burned out houses

• Explore ways to make our entire City accessible to wireless Internet services

• Partner directly with our schools and UALR to develop programs that advance greater opportunities for job creation

Mark Stodola running for mayor.

I. am. shocked.

Drew Pritt would run for the opening of a new rest room at LRNA if there was a position. What a shame on the gay community.

I thought he might be the man but, this is clearly developer speak. Too Bad!

Good for Stodola. He is clearly the best choice.

Some of you all had to watch the city board meeting last night. Graves came across as a total bozo. That was her moment to shine and she botched it. what a terrible leader.

Mayor Graves will make a fine public official. Stodola is a former Young Democratic hack. Already lost one big election....Darling of the aging Heights crowd....lawyer. all negatives We need Barbara Graves because she is a business person and knows how to manage and make a payroll. She has not lived off the public's payroll as has Stodola. 'Nuff said.

Either Stodola or Graves would be good for the developers. I don't know about the others.

Graves looked completely overwhelmed and inept last night. I know it's just one meeting, but what a terrible way to introduce yourself to a handful of voters. I was stunned, frankly.

I don't know much about the rest, but Graves has a long way to go if she wants my vote.

I agree. The meeting was in total disarray under her leadership. She had no idea what was going on - when they'd convene again, when they'd vote again, etc.

She's inept.

Barbara Graves... NO

Jesse Mason..... NO

Drew Pritt... NO ( His support for tim woolridge deserves only our contempt.)

Bill Walker , Lobbyist WHORE

Mark Stodola .... Maybe . about the best choice at this point we will see .

I agree Ms. Graves looked inept. I hear former banker Gary Smith is now considering a run for Mayor. He would be better than the rest combined.

Gary Smith---is he a native of LR? Did he attend East Side Jr. High School and Central High? Just trying to see if he is the Gary Smith that I know.

I believe Gary is originally from North Little Rock. Former chairman of LR Airport Commission and now chairman of War Memorial Stdium Commission.

that you all can lend your support for the continued success of this event.

Now that Stodola has shown his true colors I'm thinking more about Mason. What's his approach? Its probably time LR had a black mayor.

Hey, Anon 11:53....
Pine Bluff will gladly send you Carl Redus, the Mayor-Dictator.

Stodola has the best background in fighting crime -- something the city needs. Walker also happens to know a little about crime and prisoners. Mason and Graves are clueless.

We can forget Graves. No one wants her. But it seems like we still haven't found a real candidate yet. There must be one out there willing to take this on.

Barbara Graves will be formidable. She has run and won a city-wide election. That is something Mark has never done. Barbara's name recognition is much higer than Mark's andin addition,Mark had the reputation as a prosecutor as being soft on crime. Mark will not give up his assignment as attorney for the Airport Commission to run, because he knows that he probably is not going to win the election. But it will do wonders for his ability to promote his law practice.

So then 4 people are legit candidates for mayor?

I don't see one yet. More on Mason?

So is Mayor Daley getting a piece of that War Memorial Golf Course deal? Is that why he didn't run again?

Drew Pritt has no money to campaign for mayor, and he can't and won't pay his bills anyway. He still owes the Arkansas Press Association over $5500 for newspaper ads placed last fall, a bill he clearly has no intention of paying. Little Rock cannot afford someone so fiscally irresponsible at the helm. The Democrats should be embarrassed to claim him as one of their own.

Drew Pritt would not be the first candidate with outstanding bills left over from a campaign. The more you attack him the more people get fed up with such nonsense. Pritt and Mark Stodola seem to be safe choices to support.

Mark Stodola is the clear choice in this race. He has the skills and background that are desperately needed for the Mayor's office. Couple that with the fact that he is a genuinely good person and the choice is easy.

Doesn't Graves sell panties?

I guess I am confused. I thought Drew Pritt ran for Guv Lite as a resident of Bradley County, is he a bona fide Little Rock resident?

I really hoped it would be Stodola. I'm sorry he has gone over to the dark side.

Does it matter? Little Rock isn't going to elect a gay mayor.

Anonymous 1:28, part of Little Rock has already elected a lesbian State Representative so why not a gay Mayor? Why does it matter?

Anonymous 1:27, he's lived in Little Rock for two years practically and he lived here back in the 1990s. I think he's just from Bradley County.

I am really taken back by all this abuse on Pritt. He's the only one who has shown he'll come on here, share his ideas (which sound good), and communicate with the masses so to speak. If Mason, Stodola, Walker, and Graves are so good then they should give a reason to vote for themselves and not just have someone attack and opponent aimlessly. I like to vote for people and not against.

Pritt would have a better shot if he would wear some of Barbara Graves' panties.

"So is Mayor Daley [sic] getting a piece of that War Memorial Golf Course deal? Is that why he didn't run again?"

No and no.

And to the blogger who said "it's about time we had a black mayor," don't forget about Lottie Shackleford, who served as mayor iin the mid-80s.

It looks like Pritt's occupation is defending himself anonymously on this board. Hey Warwick, what does that job pay? It IS a full-time job, now isn't it?

As a lesbian in the LR community, he embarasses the majority of us. What he lacks in ethics and general business sense he tries to make up for with waving his own gay flag.

Nice try. Next.....

How about Jim Lynch? He would make a wonderful mayor.

Good God, y'all. Little Rock seems too much like Baghdad, while North Little Rock is definitely Pyongyang. It's definitely more peaceful and orderly up here, and our calenders begin with the coronation date of Dear Leader Hays--1989 was Year 1.

I have really enjoyed reading the 'cheerleader corner' but I don't think anyone's mind is going to be made up by these comments.

I like Stodola's platform. Crime is the biggest issue in the city. He even gave some specifics to his plan. Renovating the midtown corridor and bringing more parks to WLR and SWLR are also important things the city is lagging in. If he backed a full zoo expansion I would work his friggin' campaign. I do think Stodola has every bit as much name recognition as Graves, everyone else is fighting an uphill battle.

A zoo expandsion? Haven't we killed enough animals over there. Our zoo is perfect for a city of our size. These grandiose dreams are part of the problem not the solution.

They want more money for jails and police and now a giant new zoo? When will it end?

"If Mason, Stodola, Walker, and Graves are so good then they should give a reason to vote for themselves and not just have someone attack and opponent aimlessly."

Check the news release. Stodola outlined his ideas for Little Rock. I personally think he's right on target.

Drew:

Were you short a political science credit? I don't think the department will let you run for another office and claim that its an internship...

Requirement for being a qualified candidate for Municipal government in Arkansas -

"Must never have been convicted of embezzlement of public money, bribery, forgery,
or other infamous crime Article 5, §9"

I hear that Walker is out if Mason is in. He thinks it impossible for him to when with another African American in the race. That's sad because Walker's personality would have been a great change for Little Rock. What's interesting to me is Stodola refers to Atlanta as a place he wants to make Little Rock like. I like the way that sounds. Maynard Jackson opened up Atlanta for minorities. He created vendor and contract opportunities which helped to spread the wealth. Little Rock is in desperate need of a change like that. The boys downtown are making ALL the money and don't want to share the wealth. Mark are you really serious? Do you really know what you are saying?

River_Market_Marauder (errr not Drew Pritt)

You have been exposed for posting anonymously in support for yourself so not you start using names. We are not stupid these are names never before seen on this blog. Grow up Pritt.
also I would like for you to answer the question poste above that you must have not seen.
What is the highest percentage of the vote have you carried in all

What about Paul Suskie? I voted for him for Attorney General and would sure vote for him for mayor.

I am not Drew Pritt you maroon! Also Drew Pritt was not exposed by anyone except in your depraved and vicious mind. Leave the guy alone because he's got something you don't -- an original idea.

doesn't suskie live in NLR, though?

Here is the scoop...

While all of the announced candidates have their own little fan clubs, no candidate can claim to be the favorite. It is wide open. In such wide open races, name ID makes a huge difference. That favors Graves, Stodola and Walker.

Walker and Mason do not give a damn about each other. Therefore, it matters to neighter of them what the other might do.

Gary Smith would be an interesting candidate. He has a successful track record in his business and his public service. He is very personable and he has plenty of money.

Jim Lynch will NEVER run for office. He has it pretty good sitting over at UALR throwing bombs at every idea that comes forward and never offering an alternative. If he ran, he would have to articulate something that he is for and he has never done that in his life. Besides, God forbid, he might win and then might actually have to do something, which is a totally foreign concept to him.

It looks like a Graves, Walker, Stodola shoot out.

By the way, if I am black, do I have to vote for Walker or Mason?

And, after having seen Joyce Elliott at City Hall, I am beginning to think she would be a good mayor.

RT your post would have had more credibility if you had not purposely left out Drew Pritt. Look whether you like the guy or not he has name i.d. comparable from his race for Lt. Governor and then various rallies. Outside the inner groups in the political parties most people only recognize the name. He is a dogged campaigner and offers fresh ideas. He has stayed active here in Little Rock in both the activism and social settings. He will be a top contender and when you purposely leave someone out because of a personal bias it negates often most of what you have to say.

I'm sorry no one likes constructive criticism. We only like our own ideas. It is only one of the reasons we approach everything as disposable.

Jim is burdened with good ideas that no one wants to here. Building for the future is passe. Too Bad.

It might be one definition of leadership; to address all ideas, points of view, and seek and build concensus.

Anon 4:26

Ideas are one thing. To have the guts to have your own ideas and believe in them enough to run for office is quite another. Lynch has no guts. He is a professional whiner who has shown that he is for sale just like everybody else that trots down to city hall. The people that owned Park Plaza paid him off a few years ago. Also, just ask Linda Poindexter Chesterfield and Annie Abrams how much they got paid to go down to City Hall last night.

Marauder

You have excellent skills have observation but the politcal skills of a goat. You are correct. I left Drew Pritt off the list. He has yet to show an ability to do anything other than type well on this blog. He is not a credible candidate and will only provide a source of humor for the mayoral contest.

I forgot that Suskie lived in NLR. Too bad.

The only place Pritt has name recognition is on this blog.

Sh$t, where's Say McIntosh when you need him?

Wasn't ChaARK. BLOG mayors then were elected by a vote of the board, not the people.

Pritt must really be nuts. He actually thinks we don't know that he is posting in defense of himself. Nobody but Pritt would spend time defending him. Pay your damn bills you crook.

He - not about to say his name - might fool a few uninformed voters. He will never fool those on this blog. So _____, please spare us your fake posts. You only make yourself look worse.

Stodola's handling of the prosecutor's job 1991-96 should disqualify him from any further public office, particularly his filing of charges on innocent persons as favors to his political supporters.

One candidate sells panties
One candidate wears panties
I'll vote for one of the other guys

Andrew,

Your fellow demcrats on this blog are not picking on you because you are a threat. They are picking on you for the same reason you got picked on so much in high school. You are an easy target, you don't know when to shut your mouth, and you don't know when to go away.

A look into your past, both political and personal and any fool can see you are a threat only to your self.

Sad really.

Drew,

Perhaps it's better that people leave you off their list than give an honest assessment of what they believe your chances are. You know that old saying "If you can't say something nice...."

Ignoring you in a discussion of this race is not a slight if the person in question honestly believes you'll do exactly what you've done in every other race you've entered into: drop out in advance or stay in and get 5% of the vote.

Prouster

PS: You need to get a new insult. "Maroon" is instantly identifiable and blows your cover for anonymous responses.

Prouster you think you are smart but you really are not. I have not made those posts. Also the term maroon came from those who read the old BULLWHIZ as a nice way of saying moron. Prouster we all, you included, are maroons sometimes.

Personally, I can care less what anyone on here thinks about me. This is a closed community of less than fifty people who come on here. About forty of us try to carry on legitimate, honest, and true conversations sans the verbal abuse and name-calling.

Ten or less seem to think this is a tryout for the Jerry Springer show and revert ot Junior High mentalities in attacking people. Prouster, I really care less what you think of me, though its funny how you make yourself into a hypocrite by saying one thing, then making your whole post about attacking me, contrary to what you wrote.

Give it a rest --- if I don't care what makes you idiots think anyone else does.

Are the rumors true that Mark Stodola is using 10 year old campaign funds for this race that he will have to forfeit if he does not run for any office within ten years. Since Graves has to resign from her seat to run for mayor, should Stodola and his law firm do the same from his role as attorney for the Airport Commission? Ithink Gary Smith ought to join the fray. Anybody but Bill Walker unless you like sleaze>

Drew, you do not stand a chance of winning this race. Save yourself, and the rest of us, the headache of having to endure another one of your campaigns. Graduate, get a real job, pay your bills.

I also laughed out loud at your haughty statement about your honest and legitimate conversations. You have made awful statements about several candidates that ran for office this year, both here and in other forums. So please spare us the innocent routine.

This lesbian wants Pritt to shut up and stop embarassing the gay community! The 'gay attention whore perennial candidate for any office' is getting old and stale.

Here is some sincere advice: take care of your debts, re-build the fractured relationships you have with democrat businesses and political providers, get a job, volunteer....a lot, and then and only then, consider running for an office. and try something small, first.

Wow did not know i elected you to speak for me . as a whole community . this openly Gay male is tired of closet case lesbian who will not sign their name professing to speak for anyone but herself...

Once again I will ask the question that you are refusing to answer.

In ALL of your political races what is the largest percent of the vote you have recieved?
Answer the question Andrew.

If you think LR's zoo is big enough or nice enough for a city its size take a few trips to other comparable cities. Try smaller markets like Tyler, TX or Naples, FL - I've been to both of those. This town doesn't do enough for families with kids. Thank God NLR was willing to pay for a ballpark.

Gay Native Arkansan = Drew Pritt.

Stop it, you are embarassing yourself.

And yes, I do speak for many, MANY people in the gay community. You'd be surprised.

And, for your information, I am 'out', proud and contribute to central arkansas more than you know, considering you spend more time concerned about how much press you are getting for yourself (whether it is good or bad) than contributing anything of substance to your community.

dealing with you is really a waste of keystrokes, in all honesty.

warwick, i'll go more than public if you give me a blog....

Gay Native Arkansan = Rick L Ramsey would you like my phone number .? I'd be more than happy to adress any question you might have. BTW i don't support Drew Pritt... NOR the Stonewall Dems

Dear Rick,

Over the last 19 months, when you could have walked away, you dusted yourself off, got back on your feet, dug deeper, and you have fought even harder.

On the biggest issues of our time, and on the critical campaigns that will determine the outcome of this fall's national elections, no group of people has shown more resolve and provided more support than you. There's no fancy way of saying it: thank you.

Just step back and think for a moment about the impact you have had, the fights that define your convictions, and the impact you will have in November.

Someone who wants to know what our johnkerry.com online community fights for will take a look at what you've done and they'll see something powerful.

They'll see that the hundreds of thousands of johnkerry.com activists who called for a filibuster of the Alito nomination were right. Right about what kind of Justice he will turn out to be -- and right that we need Justices who will protect the constitutional rights of Americans.

They'll see that the nearly 300,000 people who acted in support of a deadline for withdrawing troops from Iraq and the Kerry-Feingold Amendment were right. Right to insist on a change of course in the Bush administration's failed policies and right to keep the pressure on until the future of Iraq is where it belongs -- in the hands of the Iraqi people.

They'll see that the more than a quarter of a million people who have joined Maria Cantwell and me in defending the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge acted because we had to draw a line of protection around this precious natural heritage, and we had to promote an energy policy worthy of America so we never go to war for oil.

But, in 2006, our biggest impact -- our ability to help turn the country around -- will be felt most clearly on November 7th. We're acting together to elect Democrats who will take power out of the hands of Republicans who have tolerated and excused one unfathomable Bush disaster after another -- and put it in the hands of patriots who will put our country back on track.

Our most crucial work is still ahead of us. We'll have to pour everything we've got into the last four months of these critical 2006 elections. But, today, all I'm asking you to do is stop and reflect on what we've done together already.

With your extraordinary support -- a kind of collective activity on behalf of Democratic candidates that is unprecedented in American politics -- together we have contributed or helped raise nearly $10 million for over 160 Democratic candidates, committees, and organizations.

The Democratic Party and its candidates in key races have needed your help, and you have delivered. In fact, the johnkerry.com community has already poured more than $100,000 into each of eight critical races.

We've acted to help Bill Nelson wage his contest against Katherine Harris in Florida. When Republican Senator Ted Stevens went to Washington to threaten Maria Cantwell for refusing to let Big Oil destroy the Arctic Refuge, we made it clear that we'll never let those who stand up for what we believe in stand alone.

At a crucial point in her Illinois House race, we raised $150,000 in two days to help Iraq war hero Tammy Duckworth advance her campaign. And we've stood by Iraq veterans running in Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Colorado as well.

We've drawn attention and support to 12 Democratic challengers running in some of the closest House races in the nation. And we've weighed in to help Democratic challengers in critical Senate races, from Harold Ford in Tennessee to Sherrod Brown in Ohio to Bob Casey in Pennsylvania.

And, in addition to raising funds, we've helped candidates all across the country recruit volunteers to help their campaigns with voter contact and get-out-the-vote efforts.

When we look up on Election Day, we'll be able to say, with pride and enthusiasm, that no group has worked harder or more effectively than we have to produce the Democratic victories we need to move America forward.

You have played -- and I hope will continue to play -- the most crucial role in this endeavor. We have four months of hard work and sacrifice ahead of us and we won't stop working until we win.

Thanks so much for all of your help, energy and commitment. I'm proud of what you do, and I hope I live up to your values and convictions in the way I fight by your side.

Sincerely,

John Kerry

Andrew,
Why do you refuse to answer this question? YOU are such a threat and YOU will shape this race!

Now answer the God D*mn question.

In ALL of your political races what is the largest percent of the vote you have recieved?
Answer the question Andrew.

Rick Ramsey, I appreciate your statements. I would be very surprised if a "lesbian" wrote that piece. Its the oldest trick in the book. If you post anonymously you can be anyone you wish to be. Also if you can claim anonymous posters are anyone they choose to claim posted.

The simple fact is this, this is a discussion about the candidates for Mayor of Little Rock and who can provide the right answers to the problems we face as a city.

1.) I am running because I truly believe I can do the job but also do it well.

2.) I am not satisfied with the choices we had to choose from before I entered the race.

3.) I believe I bring to the discussion some legitimate issues that are worth being part of the discussion, such as Light Rail.

As far as Anonymous posters who do nothing more than commit a cyber form of push polling, like the poster above who asks what he claims is an "innocent question", I ignore them.

As far as the "lesbian" who has provided me with unsought advice I am ignoring. I don't judge my supporters or my friends based on who they love and who they are attracted towards.

Also, Rick and Preston, I hope you both are doing well.

Stodola did a great job as prosecutor. Crime was down for years in part because the people he helped put away were locked up.

No answer to my question huh?

That's what I thought.

You pathetic fu*king joke.

Looks like o Pritt can't run from his past!

anyone know who's handling stodola's campaign? Paschall?

Actually a lesbian, still ashamed of Pritt.

Also, Rick and Preston, I hope you both are doing well.

Posted by: Drew Pritt
Well thank you Drew as you can tell we hold not Ill will with each other as you know I'm a green Party member now and will support Greens and Indpendents in the next election the Mayor race is is in INFANT Stages Now anyway I like mark Been openly gaywhen he was a elected offical in LR . he has always been fair and a upright honest guy. Good Luck if you Run but as i've been quite upfront and honest with you, I'm supporting Third Party Races its never been personal with us .... we need Progressive change not more of that same . Middle of the road crap from but sides the DEMS or the GOP .IMHO and we are doing great thanks ... good luck with your endevors be It school a race for mayor or what ever you choose.

RLR - Hey its a nonpartisan race so we all run "independent" but I am a Democrat - through and through. I also, as you know, am not middle of the road. Just be there at the kickoff next week and give me an honest fighting chance to earn your vote.

***

It doesnt matter who i am - The shame is either you are using a moniker of being a lesbian thinking somehow that justifies you giving me advice or speaking for the GLBT Community. Or the shame is if you are a lesbian, hiding in the proverbial closet.

Honey, your "contributions" and your "influence" don't mean a thing if you ain't got the guts to put it on the line when it counts, like signing your name to a post.

Finally, I have plenty of lesbians who do support me, so the loss of one bitter one doesn't hurt me in the least.

Have a nice day!

You are sooooooo very sorely mistaken if you think the lesbians in this town support you, if you have been totally honest about your background and questionable money managing skills and lack of work experience.

Trust me, you list names and I doubt they will support you if they know your background. Gay/lesbian doesn't mean stupid.

I'm not bitter, just calling it like I see it. Your political experience is nil, minus your student government experience at UALR. Every time you have 'announced your candidacy' for ANY office, you fail to win or mysteriously drop out. Seriously, do some soul searching. You are a loose cannon with no experience and questionable ethics and touting yourself as an openly gay candidate for mayor of the largest city in the state of Arkansas. Egomaniacal, yes. Legitimate, mmmmm no.

Sh!t, just take the gay out, list your judicial judgements against you for failing to follow through on your responsibilites from prior campaigns and personal finances, your questionable 'experience' and leave it up to the voters to decide. People know better.

Plus, with your financial history, what makes ANYONE want to support you having ANY say-so over managing a city's finances? Seriously?!

The more I think about it, the more convince I'm becoming that crime is the city's biggest issue and will appeal to the most voters, black or white. If Stodola runs on that platform and the rest make it a secondary issue, I think he'll win easily. The murder rate this year is nothing to sweep under the table, it's the city's biggest issue.

Another without an answer to my question.

In ALL of your political races what is the largest percent of the vote you have recieved?

You know what? I ain't going away boy.

Hey "it doesnt matter who i am" if thats the best that you have, then you are pathetically sad and really need to get a reality check. Let me give YOU some reality.

1.) Just because I am gay, does not mean I automatically listen to a "lesbian". I guess that means black people listen to other black people or women support only women. Give me a break. Its insulting to be so close-minded and so arrogant to cookie cutter communities together.

2.) Look, I am not going on a public board and say this lesbians name or that one. But I know of three who wear with pride my bumper stickers, at least twenty who support me openly, and many more who know about me and my entire history.

3.) You have no idea about my finances. All you know about is hearsay, conjecture, and what your diseased and depraved mind makes up.

For the record, AdCraft submitted as evidence work that they had not done. Work that ANOTHER print company was paid in cash for and who were insulted as well as now are considering a suit against AdCraft for LYING and claiming work they had not done.

Heres a hint --- Union Shops put the bug on their work and my brochures and cards did not carry the bug.

B.) Anything else about my financial history is what it is....I am on a cash-only system. I do not seek the use of bank accounts. Furthermore, I use an accountant for taxes and other major business.

C.) The Mayor of Little Rock is not the sole person in charge of the budget. Also, it might be refreshing to have someone who lives paycheck to paycheck helping to mold and shape the budget, rather than a well-heeled and wealthy individual.

Finally....it does matter who you are. If you make all these wild accusations and don't sign your name, you are ashamed of what you write. You, like I, will stand before God one day. May your conscience be clear, because mine is clear and attoned for in all the wrong I have done.

Anonymous 2:57 - Here's your answer....I don't care if you ask that question until kingdom comes....I am not, will not, shall not, and do not choose to answer the question. So find something new to say, because your needle is stuck in the groove.

i understand the system of governance for the City of Little Rock. Do you?

I won't put my name down on this blog unless AT actually gives me my own blog. But before then, my campaigning will be to ensure that your campaign sees no contacts of mine as your supporters, unless they are fully aware they are supporting nothing but an individual who makes his living by running for office....constantly.
Tennessee
West Virginia
Wisconsin

Hey, 2:57, he has never won a race. He won't admit it, but he WILL pray for your soul and mine.

Plus, what the hell were you doing working for a Repug anyway around the time of Clinton's impeachment? Doesn't sound like much of a progressive to me.

I'm calling you out, right now, because you put yourself out there under a guise of being legitimate. I'm calling you as I see it....someone who wants to be elected to a title, without even REMOTE qualifications.

You know, you leave a trail of people scratching their heads (and some their empty wallets) wondering how you can't see what a fool you are making of yourself.

I for one, have found your full time defending of yourself on here and multiple, MULTIPLE other websites quite the entertaining hobby.

For "it doesnt matter who i am" - you obviously are an outsider who is not from Little Rock and most likely not a lesbian.

1.) Never ran for office in any of the states you mentioned.

My brother did run in Tennessee as a Republican and was successful.

I have two cousins and a grandfather who ran in West Virginia.

I never filed, only explored, a bid in Wisconsin.

2.) Calling me out huh....name solid evidence. You can't and you won't....because all you have is hearsay and gossip.

3.) You understand Little Rock City Government - Explain it for us....we all would like to hear your "qualifications".

4.) You make statements similar to a group of young children at a website called OurCampaigns.

This is the same website where the most recent drama/soap opera is an individual who made up (completely concocted) MULTIPLE personalities with fake backgrounds....including one Jarome Bensom, aka JAR.

4.) You have no proof, only lies, so get a life and get the hell out of "calling people out."

Mark Twain once said and it applies to you and the anonymous posts here, "A lie can make it halfway around the world while the truth still is getting its shoes on."

Your fifteen seconds are up - buah bye now.

"Anonymous 2:57 - Here's your answer....I don't care if you ask that question until kingdom comes....I am not, will not, shall not, and do not choose to answer the question."

Why?

Is it because your record is something that you are ashamed of? Is it because your record shows you to be a complete and utter political joke? Here I will tell you what I will do for you. I will give you a chance and ask again:

In ALL of your political races what is the largest percent of the vote you have received?

It appears by your previous answer that you are not even willing to admit too all of the races you have been in.

Tell you what I will do it this way.

In ALL of your political races, total the entire percentage of votes you have received and tell me this. Combined was the percentage over 50%?
Combined in every race you have EVER been in you still don't have enough to win one race do you?

Remember I already know the answer.

You know what? I bet it was not your fault! It never is. Just like your legal, financial, and personal problems.

Anonymous 4:51 - You have the answer you want to say. You have the belief that you believe. You have the mindset are ready set. So why answer it?

Moreover, why are you so obsessive about making, goading, and forcing me to answer your question. There is no shame in choosing not to answer, which is what I have chosen to do.

No matter what you say, it will be prejudiced, and possibly inaccurate. So why even answer?

As to my supposed lack of qualifications :

* Small Business Owner since 1995.

* Statewide candidate for Lt. Governor from August 2005-March 2006.

* I have been a paid political operative for over thirty campaigns on the local, state, and national level.

* Organizer of a number rallies & activist response, most recently successfully coordinating with others in responding to the prejudices about the proposed ban on marriage equality which was defeated in the U.S. Senate.

* A survivor of cancer for almost four years.

* An active member of the Episcopal Church to include being support staff for the House of Bishops, Summer Camp Counselor, and a Young Adult Missionary.

* A published and paid columnist for two national publications and three regional publications.

I don't think thats a life thats a joke nor do I think thats anything to laugh about! I am just as qualified, if not more so, than my opponents and definitely qualified to be Mayor of Little Rock.

You didnt 'explore' a bid in WI, you announced your candidacy.

ain't nothing explorin' bout that.

whether i am native or not, is irrelevant. my vote and my tax dollars are native. how you like that?

Yes in Shelby County TN you attempted to run for US House, but ran, what was it, four or five votes shy of qualifying for the ballot and it only took , what...ten?

and you were, "drafted" for the race. hardly.

stop it, you are making a fool of yourself. i for one am getting a kick out of it. a sadistic kick, but a kick nonetheless.

and yes, we have met before. in a gay venue at a gay event.

lesbian? yes. Pritt supporter? no.

my qualifications? doesnt matter, im not the one touting myself as a candidate for office.

What small business? Were? You claim to be a small business owner but you rip off other small business owners like ad-craft?

How in the f*ck do you consider yourself a candidate for Lt Governor when you did not even file? Hell, I have been a candidate for President then! Dumbass.
If that is something to brag about then answer my question; In ALL of your political races what is the largest percent of the vote you have received? In ALL of your political races, total the entire percentage of votes you have received and tell me this. Combined was the percentage over 50%?Combined in every race you have EVER been in you still don't have enough to win one race do you? Remember I already know the answer.

"I have been a paid political operative for over thirty campaigns on the local, state, and national level"
I would imagine that is a stretch like everything else you say.

"Organizer of a number rallies & activist response, most recently successfully coordinating with others in responding to the prejudices about the proposed ban on marriage equality which was defeated in the U.S. Senate."

Hell I organized a picnic once. Can I use that on my resume?

"A survivor of cancer for almost four years."

Well that does not make you a candidate for office. Lots of people have had cancer. Leave that one off your resume.

"An active member of the Episcopal Church to include being support staff for the House of Bishops, Summer Camp Counselor, and a Young Adult Missionary."

Congratulation. You go to church.

"A published and paid columnist for two national publications and three regional publications"

Proof?

I all sounds like a joke to me and it is a joke to the rest of the people you ask to vote for you.

"You have the answer you want to say. You have the belief that you believe. You have the mindset are ready set. So why answer it?

It is a reasonably question to ask someone who is seeking my vote.

Moreover, why are you so obsessive about making, goading, and forcing me to answer your question. There is no shame in choosing not to answer, which is what I have chosen to do.

The shame is in the answer you won't give. You are hiding from your failed past and everyone on this board knows it.

No matter what you say, it will be prejudiced, and possibly inaccurate. So why even answer?"

You answer it then.

Now all that is a very interesting statement. All I asked was about all of the races you have ran in and the total percentage of votes.

That is not an unreasonable question to ask a career politician is it?

Answer the question slick.

You both above have predetermined your attitude. You lie, you decieve, and you insult and then act like you are speaking truth. You are no different from Joseph Goebbels or any other Nazis trying to bully your way through life. I have nothing more to say to either of you.

Pritt that poster is embarasing you....just answer the question.

Now I am a NAZI!!??
That is a very horrible thing to call someone. Were is your tolerance? Joseph Goebbels?!! Were is your compassion for the millions of Jews, Jehovah Witnesses, and gypsies murdered by that horrible regime!?!? Why would a descent, Christian, liberal like yourself ever call someone a Nazi? How terrible!
I simply asked you about your political past. How and were did I lie?

You should be ashamed!

Pritt has resorted to Godwin's law!

He won't answer you because he has never gotten more than 6% of the vote. It's a fact. Call the Bradley County Clerk.

Also: if you have Lexis-Nexis you can search media archives to find that Pritt not only ANNOUNCED his candidacy in Wisconsin, he also announced it in Tennessee. In fact, he sent a press release to Roll Call which was published.

I'M SUPPORTING BUDDY VILLINES.

I'm supporting Budddy because I want him to be able to do to the city what he has done to the county.

Barbara Graves voted in a Republican primary. I don't have much in common with a Republican Primary voter who sells $1600 thongs.

I support Stodola. He's the former city attorney, former prosecuting attorney. That background could certainly help promote public safety when our town has already had 34 homicides, compared to 41 in all of last year. He's the managing partner of a successful law firm. His business experience provides a good background. But more than all of that, Mark is a nice guy. He's the type that you would want to have a cup of coffee with and talk about the morning story. The little guy will have a voice in city government with Stodola.

The Nazi comment was a bit out of line, don't you think? That was impressive hyperbole.

From Pritt's website he is a member of the Lions Club, the Arkansas Democratic Party, Stonewall Democrats, the Arkansas Black Democratic Caucus, the Arkansas Hispanic Democratic Caucus, the National Cathedral Association, the National Rifle Association, and Diamond State Rodeo Association.

Now that's an impressive combination. He's like a multiracial version of Max in Rushmore.

You dyke bitch. Learn how to spell. Your writing makes you look like an ignorant n*****.

You dyke bitch. Learn how to spell. Your writing makes you look like an ignorant n*****.

NO hot link with this post Drew always has a email with his post. nice try we are not buying it ..im confident about this statement educated people don't talk like this only maroons..... prob the same poster who posted Porn links in the AT blog that got tossed this week. :)

Folks there is no need for trickery. Andrew actions speak for themselves.

O Andrew were are you???

Still waiting on an answer.

By the way there are so many people calling you out Drew that you have them confused. I am not a dyke or a woman. But there is one on here wanting some answers from you.

At least Drew will sign his name to his posts, which is not the case for the author of the racial slur attributed to Drew. Wow, that act takes courage, huh?

Drew PITT-- Those Young Dems want to know where all their money went. Was that your idea of a Small Business Loan? You are a sniveling thieving sissy wannabe, but some of us were there, and we'll never let you forget your betrayal.

Drew, please do yourself a favor and go finish school and/or get a real job. You can't win this race, nor should you.

Mark Stodola's announcement speech was excellent. I hope, for the sake of the city, that this man wins. I have heard nothing but great things about him and his family. Any sensible voter could see that he is best choice.

MARK! Who" behind him in this deal?........Herbert Jones Sr.? Hey Mark......why not prosecute "rich people" for MURDER along with all the "poor" ones too? WE WON'T FORGET! You bowed to wealth as prosecutor and you will do the same if you "scam" your way into the mayor's office!
