Talking taxes

This month's edition of Unconventional Wisdom airs tonight on AETN at 6:30 p.m., and repeats Sunday at noon. Or watch it now online at aetn.org.

The show features a discussion of Arkansas tax policy with Rick Calhoun of Crews and Associates in Little Rock (who served on the Murphy Commission and chaired the Eagle Forum of Arkansas), and Andy Brack, president of the Center for a Better South, who participated in the program via satellite from Charleston, S.C.

You can also listen to the program on KUAR FM 89 on Monday at 6:30 p.m.

The Murphy Commission recommendations regarding taxes as well as streamlining Arkansas State Government can be found by clicking on my name and then clicking the Murphy Commission on the menu.

These recommendations were generated by Arkansans for Arkansans and were first defined by the principles listed in The Role and Function of State Gov. It is a remarkable document as all the reports are.

Saw it. Now, if Mr. Sabin will quit apologizing for being so much brighter than his adversaries, I may watch this show again.

Not to steal any of Warwick's thunder, but a goddamn rock would look intelligent when put next to David Sanders.

Warwick was a little touchy when the word socialist was used. It is the discredited economic model that he continually advances and it will not change its futility by changing its name to progressive or whatever.
