Beebe on schools
Stephens Media, covering Mike!, in NW Ark. yesterday, dips back into the rural school/consolidation issue. As A$a's man put it, Mike! pretty well had it both ways. He's adamantly for tough standards, but adamantly against increasing miniimum school district size from 350, which, though it spelled doom for Paron, is still small enough to guarantee many students will limp along on the fringe of an adequate education. Criticize Beebe's gamesmanship if you will; it leaves A$a with little worthwhile turf to defend.

This hardcore proressive says... Thanks Jason Willett for being Beebe's lapdog and putting the DPA behind this dim-wit without any debate by the democrats in this state. Was the Huckster not enough to shake the progressives in this state awake. I've met Asa ans Mike and have to say, there is little going on upstairs.
People really need to look at the 3rd parties.
Look at this, I am the only one commenting on Beebe. I should be ashamed for wasting my time here.

I hear you, thearts...
Beebe doesn't have to say or do much as A$a! mucks up the waters on his own...doesn't give you much of a feel for Beebe...

Interesting. if Asa was the one pandering we all know you would let him have it.
I can't stand Asa and support Beebe but let's call a spade a spade.
ARK. BLOGI think we said pretty clearly that Beebe is having it both ways and that Jim Argue's mention of moving minimum district size up to 800 was splendid, though his party's nominee didn't have the guts to back it. Our point is that Beebe's getting away with it and the alternative for A$a is not very productive. More clearly put: A$a is pandering to the Paron crowd. Beebe is striking a nuanced position in the middle that attempts to mollify all but the hard-core Paron defenders. That's very slick, but not pandering.
