Candidate Walker

A reader calls for comments (with nothing but kindness in his/her heart, we're sure) on the D-G article today about Bill Walker's pique at getting moved aside from a temporary leadership position on the state Parole Board. He still keeps his $75,000 pay of course. And we note, Bill, that your benefactor, The Huckster, is keeping a healthy distance from you on this dispute.

Our comment would be only that Walker's hubbub in this matter and his lawsuit over treatment of his daughter at Central High (underlying merits of both aside) are not exactly strong building blocks for his announced race for mayor. There IS such a thing as bad publicity and both cases offer some insight into how Walker might conduct himself in a city leadership role.

"Sue the Bastards" could be his campaign slogan. (There is a Latin version of that somewhere)

Mr. Wlaker has quite capably demonstrated the arrogant attitude that no city needs in the mayor's position.

It is good that the citizens of Little Rock got to see him in action before they consider placing him in a position to totally embarrass the city at every possible opportunity.

He's clearly an examply of over reaching.

How can I get me a job on that parole board? I watched Siskel & Ebert for years. I can make the thumbs up or down sign with the best of them. I could use $75,000 a year to increase my donations to moveon.org. I have a resume from 1997 around here somewhere. In these troubled times I think I could really make a difference in the lives of Arkansas inmates, especially the poor women folk.

Plus someone is going to have to put in some extra hours with the influx of Republican officeholders sure to come next year.

I swear the above answers are true to the best of my ability this morning.

Sincerely, DBI

that means sue the bastards in latin, excetp I had to leave out "the" because there were about 100 entries for that one with other words, as close as I could get anyway. i hope somebody else will correct me because its possible Im not quite right, but this gives you something to go on.

VOTE DBI FOR PAROLE BOARD! All he needs to supplement his excellent qualifications is a little stint in the mansion's rose garden and, of course, he'll have to join the huck's cult. Not a problem, right?

For a $75,000 dollar paycheck I'm more than willing to wear a dress while at work. Those poor prisoners are probably more susceptible to following the advice of a man in a dress than you'd think.

And so just for the sake of the inmates suffering in this weather, I could wear an I Heart Huckabee button on my A line boddess. Besides he already has people on his boards who go home to their Democratic coffins at night. Bless them, I say. 2007 is almost here!

A runoff for Mayor of Little Rock between Bill Walker and Drew Pritt. Can you just think how entertaining that would be?

In that case, go Pritt.

Obviously, Mr. Walker has not learned a thing or matured a lick since his time on the Pulaski Countsy Quorum Court.

"Obviously, Mr. Walker has not learned a thing or matured a lick since his time on the Pulaski Countsy Quorum Court."

Don't blame it all on Mr. Walker. The Quorum Court is and will always be a bunch of idiots. They always whine about money issues. Check out this fast one I pulled on everybody...
