Who foots the bill?

A reader wondered who pays when Bush campaigns in LR or anywhere else. Thanks to blog reader for answer. Taxpayers, of course.

Comments

We've all been payin', ever since the guy was made president.

I think if you will check you will find the party had to pay for the travel expense. They also had an event with the POTUS b/4 the ASA thing.

The same people who paid when Clinton was prez.

Thanks!

Remember when Republicans raised ten kinds of hell when Mike Beebe interviewed possible consultants for a gubernatorial run in his office? Or when a volunteer made revisions to a speech on a computer? How come they aren't questioning the fact that tax payer dollars go Bush using Air Force one to go campaigning for candidates around the country today? Personally I think it is part of the spoils of war, but I ask where is the Republican's sense of outrage now?

========================
There is one major difference. Beebe specifically violated the state law with his behavior.

Bush has upheld the federal law by reimbursing what is required.
