Woo pig

Not much of an admirer of Houston Dale Nutt? You'll love Brummett today, though he's otherwise fairly high on the football Hogs.

Comments

Thanks Brummett --right on!

You'll not get any argument from this corner.

These guys who hate the Razorbacks no matter what have a condition closely related to --- how shall I put this? --- penis envy.
Go Hogs Go!!

Wow!.....who pissed in his cheerios?

Johnny seems not to like the new KID. I think his name is Stalllion or something like that.

I can see ragging on Nutt but why the hate for Stallion?

Ok, Louie.....I see you have been taken in again by spring practice and homer accolades......again. Go Scrappers.

Max, that pun was atrotious. Unforgivable!

John has been 70 years old for the past 25 years. I'm an old man, and I know old man bitterness when I see it. This guy is going to be a grandfather his grandchildren never wants to visit.

If the point of the column was Robert Johnson's combeback -- and it's hard to wade through all the barbs to tell if it was -- then I agree, and I hope he has a great start on Saturday and a great season.

Speaking of football and politics. There are several ASU types here in Central Arkansas who feel they have reason to believe that if their guy Beebe is elected, he will finally force the ASU-UofA football game they have so long craved.

ARK. BLOGThis whole subject is worth a column. 1) People who believe this presume the governor is more powerful than Frank Broyles. Hah. 2) I'm for it myself. 3) I think, despite the opposition to the idea among UA hierarchy and many HOG fans, a plebiscite would show majority support for this match, rather than the annual UA-NE La. "battle." 4) It's hogwash. The talk is most likely a desperate ploy by Hutchinsonites to find, something, anything, to derail the likely Beebe runaway. But have you heard that if A$a is elected he's going to make the Hogs play Bob Jones U.?

O.K. Maxwick. How about a thread to take the pulse of AT readers on this issue? Let's see who thinks it is a good/bad idea and who thinks Beebe will push the issue.

I don't always agree with him politically but Brummett is one of the most talented columnists in the country and far and away the best in this state.
