Open seat
A Republican family values congressman bites the dust. Sexually explicit texting with underage pages appears to be the last straw.

Too Easy.
Could you find a better example of a 'values voter', character debate, Republican. Of course they always dump them in complete surprise and discust, or forgive them their terrible human weakness if they are too valuable.
Just like Bill did for the war, its time to call these hypocrites out and speak the truth with a little passion.
Its time to get back to real issues, real solutions, and end this spin nonsense on values and personalities, for both sides.

FOLEY CHILD SAFETY LEGISLATION PASSES SENATE
FOLEY LEGISLATION OVERHAULING AND STRENGTHENING SEX OFFENDER PENALTIES INCLUDED IN ADAM WALSH CHILD SAFETY ACT OF 2005
July 21, 2006
WASHINGTON - Congressman Mark Foley (R-FL), Co-chairman of the Missing and Exploited Children Caucus, applauded Senate passage of legislation he authored and introduced overhauling our nation's sex offender registration and notification laws.
"For too long our nation has tracked library books better than it has sex offenders. That day is coming to an end," said Foley. "Senator Hatch and Leader Frist have been resolute in keeping this legislation on track. We are closing loopholes that sex offenders and pedophiles have used to prey on children."
Included in the legislation are provisions Foley authored and introduced last year including:
Highlights of the Foley Provisions in H.R. 4472, the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006

All they have to do now that the Torture bill has passed is to name 12 year old kids enemy combatants and they can screw the knickers off them for the rest of their lives in a black site prison. And you thought these new laws were about war....phishaw!

Mrs. Bobo did young males and got two 6 year prison terms (with one more trial to go). Anyone wanna bet this will be stiffer than what Foley gets?

Just wait a few hours guys.....there is more to this story. Another Congressman is saying the GOP knew this guy had been molesting pages and has covered it up ala the Catholic Church and pedophile priests.
We only know the tip of this disgusting iceberg. And isn't just the right time to know all the Republicans dirty laundry.....it's shaping up to be a lovely October across our country.

They say he used the screen name Maf54 on these messages provided to ABC News.
This exchange included:
Maf54: do you really do it face down
Teen: ya
Maf54: kneeling
Teen: well i dont use my hand...i use the bed itself
Maf54: where do you unload it
Teen: towel
Maf54: really
Maf54: completely naked?
Teen: well ya
Maf54: very nice
Teen: lol
Maf54: cute butt bouncing in the air
Federal authorities say such messages could result in Foley's prosecution, under some of the same laws he helped to enact.[16]

Maf54? Damn, nice secret handle you made up there, Mark Adam Foley (b. 1954). Why didn't you just use 52yroldsicko?
It's time to stick it to the Republican party. Kick them while they're down. Run up the score. Take back what's left of our country.
I heard a sound byte from Sen. Blanche W. Mart (?-Ark) on the radio today. The reporter asked her if she thought the balance of power would shift to the Democrats this November. (I said out loud to the four walls, "What does she care?").
She said some mealy-mouthed crap about how it's better for the system if one party doesn't dominate. It was one of the many understatements of the year.

Pretty recent update on Daily Kos on this story, confirming more of the stinking iceberg DBI pointed out earlier. Hastert knew about the email exchanges and said something like, "we're taking care of it." Strangely, the Democratic leadership were left out of the communication loop.

Hey give that some thought dude. She and Senator Pryor get TONS of messages from the IMMORAL MAJORITY in Arkansas, just about daily from all the organized Rwingnut groups in the State.
Jesus Jim Holt got 44% of the vote running against her in 04 with little standard campaigning or cash.
What I suggest is that everyone of us take the opportunity to email , write or call when she votes in our direction. These are divided times, and the pendulum will swing away from the Rwingnuts in due time.
We are likely getting many false reports on the economy, Bush had enough influence to get Big Oil to lower prices just below the election, so just wait it out. All those deficits will have to be paid down in the future with decreasing revenue.
Tax breaks are not forever. Nothing in government is ever PERMANENT.

What should we call this emerging scandal? Republifile? Repedigate? And the eerie similarities to an earlier in the decade scandal: Hastert is the Archbishop; Alexander, Reynolds, Boehner, etc. are the bishops who covered up the crime, and the perp himself, the pious priest: Foley. Wonder if the GOP will be invoking the bankruptcy laws when the pages start the lawsuits, or maybe that was covered in "tort reform".
And the timing couldn't be more perfect. A dismal week for the GOP: the "ambush" of Bill Clinton turned inside out; the leaked intelligence report that choreographed the war that only phony-macho neo-con bushie draft dodgers would have countenanced; the betrayal of the GOP insider author Woodward who finally had had enough of their deception, and now this emerging coverup by GOP House Leadership. Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of turds. So long to the House and Senate, frat boys.
