The McCain saga
Employees of the Pizza Cafe say they are sure that Sen. John McCain dropped by for pizza Monday afternoon. He did not have a beer. More's the pity for him. It's the coldest draft in town.
Readers responding to a report from a reader last night sent along a variety of web links that they said indicated McCain was elsewhere. One referenced McCain observing Labor Day weekend by appearing at the Iowa State Fair. But, according to the Des Moines Register, that appearance was actually in mid-August. Another poster cited a blog post that seemed to put McCain on a trip to Georgia, the former Soviet republic, where he reportedly was in an aircraft targeted by a rocket. That incident occurred Aug. 28, the Washington Post says.
A Pizza Cafe employee says a number of people greeted the visitor as Senator McCain.
Unless the eyewitnesses are delusional -- or McCain has a very convincing body double who played along with the gullible -- we're of a mind that the presidential hopeful was in town. Cultivating a rich donor? A number of likely supporters live just up Cantrell Hill, after all. Cutting a TV ad for a Republican candidate? Just out for a long Labor Day drive?

OH SH*T They're cloning em! No telling how many Bush clones are running around. I assume when you clone you get the same brain too. Someone's probably growing a new Jessie Helms as I type. Oh god....Cheneys that will last forever!
That's just like the Republicans to scream bloody murder about cloning and then set up secret clone labs where they're churning them out faster than Fords. Will a good anal probing reveal the original person?
Hell....let's give em all a good anal probing anyway! Run run.....Republican clones are on the loose!

A rich donor giving to a Republican Presidential aspirant other than the Governor? How did this happen? Don't they all love the Governor? Huckabee will, no doubt, be unhappy and seek good Christian revenge.

In all fairness, the Huckster would be within his right to be upset. McCain does drink a different kind of Jesus juice than the Huckster.

Yeah right, like any of them drink Jesus juice at all. It's all a prop, like the smiling sedated wife and 2 cardboard kids. They worship only 2 things in life...themselves and money....not necessarily in that order.
