The president's man

Bob Woodward, the famed Washington Post reporter who in recent years has been White House scribe, trading flattering books for privileged access, has apparently nipped the hands feeding him in his new book.

The White House ignored an urgent warning in September 2003 from a top Iraq adviser who said that thousands of additional American troops were desperately needed to quell the insurgency there, according to a new book by Bob Woodward, the Washington Post reporter and author. The book describes a White House riven by dysfunction and division over the war.

On the other hand, what was he going to do, say everything was rosy?

It's about time Bob started trying to redeem himself in the eyes of those old enough to remember his fine work in the Watergate era. After his first two glowing books about the Bush White House I just assumed they had wrestled him down and implanted some chips in his head. Glad to see he's found the frequency, Kenneth and is returning to normal.

In light of the new info that shows Abramoff damn near lived at the White House, it just opens a newer, wider path to Bush's jugular vein. Also the news that the Bush White House has turned to Henry Kissinger for advice on how to win a war is pretty funny if it wasn't so tragic. Old Nixon men calling other old Nixon men to ask about the last war we so miserably lost? Is this sane? I think not.

Why are we losing this war? First of all it was the wrong war to start. Secondly, we have people waging war who don't have the first clue or any experience with warfare. It would be like giving me a box of Tampons....I just hurt myself. Only in this case Bush-Cheney have hurt 2710 of our troops in Iraq, hurt them plumb to death.

In fast order we must win back the House and Senate and then start in January setting the stage to remove the entire Bush administration from power and to the courts for trial and punishment. We cannot wait until January, 2010, we cannot continue to build the hate of the world for that long. We cannot spend another 3 years grinding up our troops and Iraqi civilians. We cannot trust Bush to not start a 3rd war or a 4th or a 5th.

It's time to plan and execute VB Day, Victory over Bush Day, we've got to storm the cliffs of DC and die on the beaches of the Potomac to save our country and start the restoration process that will return the world to normal before it's too late. This isn't your run of the mill election coming in November, it is the entire future of the world at stake. Screw the Gipper, we have to win this one for us!

If you haven't read his book "Shadow," you missed a good one. It covers Ford - Clinton. Lots of goodies, lots of insights, especially with the Reagans, his dementia and their reliance on astrologer Joan Quigley.

Isn't it amazing? Woodward writes two books lauding Bush and when he times the third to get maximum free press to boost sales, the Bush supporters switch to attack mode over his smart timing of the book publishing.

I've read some of his books since splitting off from Woodstein/Bernward . He needs all the press he can get to sell the books, especially since it's not with Regnery.
