569-8485 -- UPDATE

No time for me this morning. I'm off to KUAR. Remember the Arkansas Blog matching proposition. Call or write at kuar.org and I'll match everyone who mentions the Blog up to $10. Thanks for supporting public radio.

UPDATE: Thanks to all who called. The last count before I left indicated Rosi and I raised more than $12,000 this morning. There had been at least 15 Arkansas Blog pledges. No, the governor's press secretary did not respond to my special challenge grant for that office.

Let's go, fellow bloggers and compadres. It's time to give Max and the AT and NPR our support. I'm sure several of you have already donated so way to go and for those of you who haven't gotten your pledge in: What are you waitin' for!!??

Welcome to the "Max Brantley" blog. Please deposit your brain and $1.

Gee thearts,

I guess I'll have to give more money. I'm afraid my brain is what you call damaged goods (No Deposit, No Return).
Ol' Doc Frankenstein would still be having conniption fits if Igor had brought my brain in for his creation.
However, if you'll make the pledge, I promise to keep my brain off the market.

I've been a member for a few years and typically wait for Max's day to renew. Did so today as usual. I'm with Jake--I'm pretty sure that $1 is $.95 too much for my brain.

If you missed Max on the air, you can still donate!

Good job, Max...

By the way, how much of our pledged dollars go to NPR? Or does it work differently?

ARK. BLOGKUAR keeps all the money. But, of course, it pays some of it to NPR to buy its programs.
