Beebe and Nick

Brummett rises to the defense of Mike Beebe on the Republican attack of his role as senator in Nick Wilson's nefarious ways.

A couple more of my own thoughts on this subject: The Republicans' ad suggesting that Beebe was specifically and personally responsible for Nick's remaining in the adjourned Senate for a few weeks and otherwise directly complicit in illegal activities is one of the most dishonest of the season. The Huckster's ad about how he cleaned up Arkansas is the most laughable.  His administration has been a model of favors for insiders, punishment for outsiders and utter secrecy over all of it. It began with him charging taxpayers to do his shirts and ends with him using the apparatus of government and occasionally its State Police plane to run for governor  president. If you say he's doing no different than many others before him, my point would be: exactly.
