Follow the money
USA Today reports that both Republicans on the House ethics panel looking into Speaker Hastert's failure to act in the Foley scandal have received money from his PAC.
We should add that U.S. Rep. John Boozman, who has refused to criticize Hastert, also received $5,000 this cycle from Haster's Keep Our Majority PAC.

It's going to take public financing of elections to kill the beast that is killing our democracy --money -- and turning our public servants into whore.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Foley donated $100,000 to Hastert's campaign when Hastert found out about his wrongdoings.

PACs just have to be the worst thing around. My god, if I had a PAC and could write big checks to people any time I wanted, I'd be sitting here typing now with 4 naked Chinese girls licking my whole body.
I'd never have another fight with City Hall or the gas company. The sidewalks in front of my house wouldn't be cracked and broken and no telling what else I could do with a PAC full of money at my fingertips.
This PAC stuff ain't American. What a deal! People like me so much they send me checks of any amount that I stick in my PAC and then spend the money on anything I want. To the people on this blog, do people write you checks because they like you very often? And what do these people who write checks to people they're not having sex with get back for their money?
It's a racket if there ever was one and Speaker Bastert is using his to hush other politicians up. How American is that? When you let the foxes write the hen house rules you can bet the foxes will have feathers around their mouths 24/7.
There are no ethics in DC, there is no such thing as campaign finance reform and daily our elected officials give us the shaft, their middle finger and sit around laughing at how stupid we truly are. A horse whipping is too good for them!

I don't know about American but it's pretty damn Republican. Bushie Boy tried to silence the 9/11 Widows with substantial payoffs. Paul Bremmer was buying Iraqi warlords to the tune of 9 Billion$. I wonder if Paul even got a bj out of that deal? How much do bj's go for in Iraq? I know gas is cheap .40 to .50 litre, something like that. Is sex real expensive in Iraq, is that why they costs so much? We gave them all the weapons they need to fight us.
So where are Paul and warlords spending the money? Oh the mystery Republicans create.

"By Doug Thompson
Arkansas News Bureau
FAYETTEVILLE - U.S. Rep. John Boozman, R-Ark., called former House GOP colleague Mark Foley a "pervert" Thursday and condemned attempts by Democratic opponent Woody Anderson to tie Boozman to an alleged cover-up of Foley's lurid communications with congressional pages."
Boozman might not be tied to a cover-up, but that 5000 bucks ought to keep his lips zipped for a while. If Speaker Bastert will send me a check care of the Arkansas Times, I'll be happy to not say one bad word about him for at least 6 months.
If you'll need me I'll be standing out by the mail box.
