Sweatin' the oldies

There's still time to join the A$saholts down at Juanita's from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight. The governor's band will be playing to help the Hutchinson campaign. You can celebrate the NJ ruling and swap your favorite gay-bashing and concentration camp jokes. Tell some Huckster jokes, too. Remember, he has a thick skin.

I'm afraid Juanita's won't ever be the same after tonight's function.......because the odor from the fumigating spray will be around for quite some time. Is it true that the LR Fire Dept. will be pressure washing the place tomorrow?

Where are they gonna stash the little boys?

Why didn't they have this at Republican Herb Broadway's restaurant, which is in the same block, about five doors down from Juanita's? I think the answer is obvious.

I have to think this little wing ding will raise much less money than swapping BBQ flavored spit with the President. Or watching Rove fry up a young boy for Asa to feast on. Or what people paid to see Cheney come out of his crypt.

I sincerely hope the $79.43 this party raises for Asa does him some good. But I think a bus ticket to DC costs about double that amount. Whose jet did Huckabee take to Juanita's? How much PAC money is Huck giving Asa?

Maybe they could auction off some of Jenning's suits or ties. I know...Huck could give his $3650.00 pair of cowboy boots to be auctioned for Asa or at least that matching 500 dollar belt.

Does this mean they'll get to see James Boulder dance with the Gov.? Someone told me they were going to sell chances to whack Andy Mayberry's head with a stick, a Republican piņata, ya know. They put out little pocket mirrors so guests can hold them under John Boozman's nose to see that he is indeed alive after all.

I hate to miss it, but Fort Republican is a far piece from LR and I planned to lance a boil later tonight after CSI. Oh....does Asa dance? Anyone old enough to remember the Star Wars Bar?

i actually went. I was told i could come if I behaved myslf ......no Foley jokes, no tim hutchinson jokes, none.....so I behaved

the gov was onstage the whole time i was there - the band is.... well, they know the words and can cary a tune

My favorite song they played was CCR, "Fortunate Son" I doubt they see the irony.

I'll give a full report later.....the night is young

For Allah's sake hoglawyer, either wear some rubber gloves or wash your hands often with hot hot water. No telling what you might pick up in that joint.

But the real dessert is they all got home in time for the Arkansas Poll.

I went to the function as well, it was fun, i got to meet lots of folks from all over and I enjoyed the band. I had never heared them play before. They were actually pretty darn good. It was a good time.

Don't ya just wish Ken Lay, Mark Foley and the boys from Tyco had had a band?

I also attended. Had a good time. The guv's band is pretty good for a few old guys and "getting there" middle aged guys. Asa gave a great speech - per usual (and I'm sure I'll get hit on that one from dbi or someone like him). And for my second "FYI" of the day: this wasn't a fundraising event. It was to celebrate the volunteers, staff, and campaign in general.
Have a nice day.

Re: LWood's comment. It's not little boys that someone in that camp likes, it's teenage girls.

Stovall was there??

I wasn't referring to Stovall
