Will it matter 28 days from now?
Seventy-nine percent of respondents said House Republican leaders were more concerned about their political standing than about the safety of teenage Congressional pages. About half of respondents said that the House Republican leadership had handled the Foley case improperly, compared with 27 percent who said they approved of how it was handled; 46 percent of respondents said Speaker J. Dennis Hastert should step down. And Americans — including women and suburbanites — are more likely to say that Democrats, and not Republicans, share their moral values.

ZZZZZZZZ............
What's the grand Democrat plan to right the wrongs? The only thing the Democrats and Republicans do well is gloat when the other takes a hit. There is a black hole of leadership in this country.

It's high time people woke up, and looks like they are, indeed waking up.
Maybe they have been awake all along, as Gore carried the popular vote and it is argurably that Bush won against Kerry.
What Americans have to do now is volunteer to be at the polling places to make sure that no hanky-panky takes place this time.
This election could be the most important in our time. I think it's critical that we send a clear and convincing message to Washington that we are fed up with crooks, liars, and thieves.

"Will it matter 28 days from now?"
The American voter answers: "The scandals and poor leadership in Congress makes me..........ooh, look! A shiny object!"

Who knows what fresh hell we'll be experiencing 28 days from now. You can bet every day from now till then will be action packed as both sides try to bury each other.
It is of course my fond hope and desire to see the Republican Party beat like a runaway step-child. They have poisoned every aspect of American life. They have done a whole lot more than just tarnish our image. They have made us the New USSR of the world, the biggest bully, the country that tortures, just another country that throws people in prison and lets them rot.
The difference between us and Cuba is that Cuba's dictator is smart. Another 12 years of Republican control and we'll be rafting our way to Cuba seeking asylum. Like a mantra, we must repeat over and over the sins and failures of the Republicans, over and over and then hit that voting booth like fastball in a glove and vote those bottom-feeders out of office!
Then watch them go to town on Bush-Cheney next January. The year of 2007 will become known as the year of reckoning. The year the new sheriff came to town and sent the dirty low-down varmints ascatterin....
High Noon for the Republican snakeballs in the White House and the Congress. Yippy Ki Yi Yo the Democratic posse's gonna go a whompin and a whompin and the Cheneys and the Bushes and the Hasterts and the Frists and the Santorums, Colburns, DeLays and Delays will scatter like the cockaroaches they are. Yippy Ti Yi Yo....the Republicans are headin for the last round-up!

As much as I can't stand these people, either, to call them "cockroaches" makes me cringe - reminds me of the way that word was used in Rwanda weeks before the massacre of so many people. -Not saying you're up to something DBI, just makes cringe. How about using a different word for their sort? Maggot is fine with me, for example.

According to the NYT this morning, two weeks ago 20 GOP seats in the House were in play. The figure as of yesterday was 40. Keep it up Republicans, even your base is turning against you.

Pray tell, Mr. Rod Bryan, what is your plan to right the wrongs in this country? You may step right up and present it if you have one.
Get your skinny white boy ass off that tandem bike and give us a plan of action. To do otherwise requires you to keep your mouth shut.
