Happy Days Are Here Again II
Simmer down, populists. Those prices we listed yesterday for "sponsorships" at the Mike Beebe inaugural ball were just for "sponsorships." Your name will be up in lights. Or at least in a program. But you may attend without being a sponsor.
Biscuit cookers and others may also attend the ball for $100 a head (cheaper than the Huckabee inaugural in 2002, but his included dinner.) There also will be a party the night before the inauguration, with tickets for a bargain $25, Beebe spokesman Zac Wright said. Tickets will be mailed in mid-December.

OK...I feel a mite better now. But when I hear things like 10 thousand dollars and private audience, I get real nervous.
Damn that Frank Capra for filling my head with images of friendly, folksy, honest politicians!
I still think a pot luck dinner on the ground with a few Hooter's girls for entertainment would do just fine.

i take back what i said. there must be sponsors and who better than lobbyists. we can do better after the example clinton set after his 2nd election night with tony bennett and steven stills, ect maybe with levon and the cates brothers the traditional music for winning democratic politicians in arkansas for many years. the hooters girls on risers at the sides dancin. and bbq from lindseys, its better than corkys anyway. make it a 10$ charge folks who want to meet the new gov. then march to osburne's house and tear down the george w sign.

I spent a few days in Las Vegas recently at business meetings and noticed an entire hotel/casino there now called Hooters! I had stayed in this same hotel a few years ago when it was named the San Remo. It's much improved now!
Naturally I walked over (it's by the Flamingo, across from MGM) and had a meal there. I figured the casino cocktail waitresses would be Hooters girls. But I found that even the dealers at the tables are Hooters girls. I got lots of photos with my little phone camera.
I say move Beebe's party to Hooters Las Vegas.
