The House is caucusing -- UPDATE
The state House of Representatives is organizing today. A note from an interested observer (translation: lobbyist) says Dan Greenberg, the newbie Republican from Little Rock, drew seniority no. 100.
UPDATE: Here are the legislative committee assignments. After Speaker Petrus is formally elected on the opening day of the session, the second Monday in January, he will appoint the committee chairs.

Doing a search for the names of freshmen
it seems Republican freshmen got the
same two committee assignments
each.

I meant to say the Republican freshmen
got the same as Democratic freshmen.
Is that normal? I would have thought
Democrats would get a better deal
than Republicans.
