We'd noted that the Bush rally in Bentonville Sunday requires a ticket available at Republican offices. No protestors need apply. One of our sources up there says they are screening applicants for Republican credentials -- a campaign contribution being one sure litmus test.

I'm leaving home in a few minutes, headed to the Beebe/Clinton rally at the Jonesboro airport. It's nice to belong to a party that doesn't require tickets and contributions in order to gain access to their political figures.

Gee, does that mean a democrat or independent -- or a terrorist -- could give $500 to mingle with the president and do or say who knows what?
Nah. These will be good repugnant donors whose money has been vetted and found to be solidly repugnant.

If they're not too careful, they might actually score two or three votes for Asa out of this...

They should also be screening for AIDS.
Bush does have that macho man cowboy thing going on, and is known to cavort with evangelicals.

Max, whatever happened to the days when anyone could go see their president without fear of being turned away because you aren't Republican? Not that I in any way shape or form want to see this man in person, because I don't, but still it would be nice to know that our leader would want to be seen by all. Yet another reason in my book not to like this man, or this regime.
Keep up the good work - this is my main blog for political info in the state.

If anyone who shows up for a ticket is a well-groomed minister from Colorado they'll know it's one of those guys who've caught the gay and not let him in.

I've declared my office here in Springdale a "free speech zone" - it's about as close as I could get anyway.

This was the first indication I had that Hitler was alive and well and living in the US. Up until the 2000 race I never heard of such pre-screening for a political rally. Talk about un-American!
These pussies only want to preach to the choir, no wonder most of them avoided military service with a passion. A local Republican lawyer was arrested in Fayetteville a couple of years ago because he protested outside the Protest Pen that is always set up blocks away from these pussies. Even Republicans aren't safe.
Now the big pussies are in trouble and Big Pussy Bush can only show his face in the ultra-safe places like Benton County. Every other place has too much sense than to want his sorry hide near them.
I totally understand screening for weapons, but these pussies are screening out ideas. Sticks and stones DO break their bones because their so damn guilty of everything.
I will never ever vote for anyone who is too big a pussy to face any unarmed American voter. I'd spit on any Democrat who was this chicken. Even Fidel Castro has more balls than Big Pussy Bush. But really this shouldn't come as a surprise. Like they do not want to hear dissent, the same people do not want to hear facts or the truth about anything.
We have a chance to start throwing out these big pussies next Tuesday. Get off your deathbed if that what it takes and vote to replace the pussies with real men and women of courage. Don't be a pussy yourself.

DBI,
So are you saying that you think Fidel Castro would tolerate protesters better than George Bush? I'm a little worried about your sanity. Go down to Cuba and try protesting. You just might learn what torture is all about.

This might be a good opportunity to jot down the "N" numbers on the Tyson air force to check on just where these multi-million dollar aircraft are registered for property tax purposes. Chances are pretty good that it's not in Arkansas, where they'd be subject to county personal property taxes.

LOL Severus. "Go USA - We're Better Than Cuba!"
Shows you how far the bar has been lowered. We used to be better than a lot of places.

Severus,
I think you are correct. George Bush avoids protesters and free speech just like Fidel Castro. The only differences are Fidel has been in power longer, i.e. more successful by the CCRRR credo, and speaks better Spanish.

Let's see....can't stand protesters, has places of torture in Cuba, doesn't give a hoot about habeas corpus, has a dubious military record.....
Fidel or George W. or both? That's a tough one to sort out.
Let the Great Decider sort it out:
"Never again.... do I want to have to make explanations that I can't explain." --George W. Bush, Portland, Oregon, Oct. 31, 2000
