Blog problems

Night owls will know that the Arkansas Blog pretty much has been out of commission most of the night. It's the latest in a series of problems plaguing the operational software. We're working on it. The software we're using, its interface with the rest of our website and high use all have contributed to the headaches. All I can say is that I'm sorry and hoping for a speedy resolution.

That high use is sure a compliment to the blog.

I'm reminded of a story I heard from the 1960s, when the local newspaper advertising manager went into the new supermarket in town (the first supermarket the town had ever had) and tried to sell advertising to the store manager.

No thanks, the manager said. We already have all the business we can handle. If I advertise and get more business in here, I'll have to add more staff.

The supermarket lasted just a few years before another one opened in town, advertised, and ran them out of business.

Its back Up ..........iIthink Max , I signed in this morning and no error 's (JUST FYI) it was just buggie last night and would not let me sign in to comment...

Thanks
Rick

Any progress on fixing the "sign in" deal so it doesn't forget we signed in five minutes ago?

I check the "remember for 2 weeks" box and still a few minutes later, its. . .

I don't know if I asked this before, but has there been any progress on fixing the . . .

ARK. BLOG: I think, though I'm not sure, that the problem is that every time the blog hangs up, they have to restart it. and that signs everybody out, including me,and forces us to sign in again. I know it's a hassle. I hate it. It drives people away. Unfortunately, I'm an even biggere idiot on technology than everything else. I can only wait and hope.

Hot damn...I'm FINALLY able to register from my computer. Now I can say what I REALLY think ha!

While the rest of you were sleeping last night I was getting error messages every time I posted some of my wisdom. But using the zelda trick of hitting the back button posted my message, avoided me getting an error message and worked out fine.

Also I signed in the day the TypeKey stuff started up and I've never had to sign in again. Not that I'm complaining!

Put a "ditto" with Don K. message for I have the same problems....

I have similar problems as Don K. too.

I get most of my Arkansas news here, because the only thing we get on TV news up here in my neck of the woods is Springfield Missori stuff, so I REALLY appreciate having this blog available to keep up on the political scene in Arkansas.

Thanks to you all, and I hope you keep it going! We NEED the liberal perspective.
