Two comments on Brummett's comments:

1. I appreciate that he used "rear end" rather than "butt".

2. Brummett's photo in the Times hasn't looked like Brummett in years. Maybe it's the weight changes, as he mentioned above. Brummett just doesn't look like Brummett anymore.

If you're thinking 1 and 2 above are both examples of me longing for days gone by, you're right. America's best days are behind us; I lived through them and didn't even appreciate it at the time.

Humbug.
