The U.S. attorney scandal

NY Times has news coverage today on Sen. Dianne Feinstein's remarks on the Bush administration's ouster of a group of U.S. attorneys who were then replaced by indefinite interim appointments rather than the Senate confirmation process. The Karl Rove political hit squad member, Tim Griffin, who replaced the ousted Bud Cummins in LR, is mentioned. A Justice Department spokesman continues to insist avoidance of the confirmation process has nothing to do with the new Democratic majority in the Senate and confirmation will be sought. When?

Tim Griffin is poisonous. He would rather bust someone for smoking a joint than carrying an automatic weapon...

If he had any integrity whatsoever (which there is no possibility of with Herr Karl on his resume), then he would withdraw from his appointment until he was confirmed...

...ain't gonna happen though...

Wonder why we haven't heard an outcry from other Federal employees, US Marshals, Assistant Federal prosecutors and such. I'd think if I saw my co-worker fired for nothing, to be replaced with a Bush-bot, I'd be screaming bloody murder!

Especially since this new line in the Patriot Act smells so USSR-ish.....time to recite that old story about when they came for the Jews and I didn't say anything because I wasn't Jewish......it certainly fits this situation.

The cancer is spreading and Griffin is one giant metastasizing tumor if I ever saw one! Wake up people....they're taking us over while we look the other way!

This story is picking up speed, Keith Olbermann had a piece on it tonight (Wed.) and it smells worse with moving pictures.

The Bush Gestapo caught red-handed! Public shunning of Tim Griffin should start tomorrow bright and early! Don't go down without a fight people!
