Thumbs up

A Tennessee blogger catches Mike Huckabee's act and likes it a lot. And another. And yet another.

Elsewhere on the web, a Huckabee blog notes that a package of slickly edited videos (6 segments, maybe 35 minutes altogether) has emerged on YouTube carrying the Mike Huckabee story. I'm still without speakers at my desk, but I can see that much of the video was taken at official events over his decade as governor, presumably by his staff a/v man. We spotted some interviews, among others, with columnist David Sanders, former aide Rex Nelson and banker French Hill, who's on his national campaign committee.

We thought we'd give a link to this particular segment because it includes an interview with his chief of staff Brenda Turner, famously camera shy.

Most candidates by now have HIRED
bloggers to spread the word on the www. John Edwards has a full time employee who primarily solicits bloggers for the campaign.

Max, try one of those neat flat panel lcd monitors with speakers build into the frame. I love mine. no more wires all around, no more bulky speakers taking up space.

I laughed...I cried...I thought I was watching a fishing show and they'd be more than one wide-mouth bass featured in the clip.

I don't know how it was for you all that grew up Catholic or Jewish, but if you've ever been a Baptist this is what you get. The Preacher is always some brand of blandly humorous. They've all grown up with Readers Digest and they have the time to read all the jokes, even Humor in Uniform.

It's not a bad thing to develop...but oh gosh gee..if monkeys had the power of speech.......but it's good enough for the potato-faced down home folks on this clip. That Mike...he's a dang laugh riot..har har har.

All in all this clip does no harm. The only reference to a minor king in the making is the old guy at the last talking about heart attack humor at the lake house. I got my wife making dang good money, but we still can't afford a lake house.

I just hope somewhere out there someone is making The Dimmy Altes Story. I know his bills are often funny, but I have no idea if he is.

I think it's time we took up a collection and bought Max a 12 buck set of computer speakers at Best Buy. How on earth can you do porn without speakers? Writhing without sound is like a day without....without.....a piece of candy or a stick of gum for good behavior.

And watching Warwick's videos without sound probably makes no sense at all unless you're a real good lip reader. I am led to understand that Walter Hussman has speakers hanging on the side of his computer as big as a Volkswagen. I got 5 bucks towards the cause.

ARK. BLOG: I swear I'm gonna get me some. Soon. I have them at home.

I agree with Lwood. I'm suspicious of many of these 'personal' blogs...especially when they are touting ANY presidential candidate. But regardless, this blogger's infatuation doesn't change any of the realities about Huck as a former governor or as a candidate. Sure he can talk folksy, my gosh he's a preacher from Arkansas. But he's still a Southern Baptist preacher who used his office as one big plate-passing entitlement ride as he pissed all over our FOI. Then there's his penchant for mistaking jury verdicts as mere suggestions and himself the 'decider' of good and bad. And, all those libraries he closed...

Now that Warwick's gone how's about
a new kid on the block...making cinema vertige vids about our Rev Bro gov..telling it like it really was...Bananna Republic and all...pardoning ol Wayne the stabberman.."My personal wish is for you to be paroled".

Here's your big break DBI, a chance for a Rolls to call your own..make the vids post em, then for so many thousand$ each you take them down, or option two: hold them till the washout gets close and the "taking down" price gets steeper.

OK, I don't know that first woman who spoke in the video about Huck's sense of humor, but she obviously idolizes him.

I didn't know that David Sanders idolizes him too, but he apparently does.

Rex Nelson got it right. Huck is funny about 15% of the time.

Can't help it. As I scroll down the page my mouse-pointer just veers over to the side when I pass that big, ugly video link.

Cain't watch it and ain't gonna.

I cain't do it, either, widj. Supper was a little dicey tonight (MSG in the turkey kielbasa). I'd sooner take a sharp stick in the eye, or even click on a picture of Ann Coulter (see cartoon on blue link, from topplebush.com).

I was wondering who would take over Warwick's video duties. Max, you know DBI has extensive videographic experience with the WWII vets.

But ol' DBI is probably too spoiled by interviewing those of the greatest generation than to have to face some in LR's political milieu.

Not to mention my chain only stretches out about 7 miles from the DBI compound.

Someone a tad more mobile will have to take over Warwick's camera. Needs to be a young person with balls the size of Sacha Baron Cohen.
