Griffin replacements

Stephens Media had the jump on this several days ago, but Rep. John Boozman has made it official. He's asked the White House to consider these three Republican lawyers for the U.S. attorney's job in Little Rock -- Betty Dickey of Heber Springs, a former state prosecutor and appointed member of the state Supreme Court; Jason Hendren, a Little Rock lawyer, and state Rep. Michael Lamoureux of Russellville.

No timetable mentioned in the news release. The question is, which one would Karl Rove prefer? And how quickly will he move. The longer he waits, the more days his former aide Tim Griffin has to serve.

Comments

iirc, i read the other day that JTG was Betty's campaign manager in her run against Mark Pryor for AR AG.

what would be wrong with Jane Clark (is it?) that was the deputy passed-over because of "maternity leave"?

Jason Hendren is originally from Bentonville. His father is a federal judge in Fort Smith (appointed to that position by the first President Bush). His sister is an attorney in Fayetteville. He is related to state senator Kim Hendren as well as the Hutchinson gaggle (which I don't think I have to mention all have "-R" after their names).

Hendren's online work biography lists medical malpractice and liability defense as primary areas of practice. In a situation that demands removing the appearance of "politics" in selection, Boozman could not have picked someone more connected to the Republican Party in Arkansas.

I checked my crystal ball and sure enough it says NO MORE HUTCHINSONS OR HENDRENS for Arkansas. Like the Civil War, slavery and Depression, we're done with that horrible era. Hell...Asa and Timmy Hutchinson are out of a job, why doesn't The Booz nominate one of them?

What about a Huckabee son? A Frank White heir? One of the Bush twins? Or Harriet Meyers?

Betty Dickey must be near 90 and all I can think of when I see Michael Lamoureux is Gene Wilder trying to get Frankenstein to wear a top hat and sing.

Let's have that pregnant woman that Rove rejected because of her big belly and be done with it. Let the Hendrens go get real jobs with the Hanke Brothers and leave Betty to her knitting. Obviously there is no one worth having in the whole state of Arkansas. Bring on the preggers girl!
