Huckabee v. Pryor II

In an interview with Aaron Sadler at Stephens, Mike Huckabee reiterates what he'd told a blogger earlier -- he won't challenge Sen. Mark Pryor in 2008. He said he wanted to put rumors to bed. There are "no ifs," he said.

Huckabee has been getting pressure from national Republicans to quit the presidential race to go after Pryor's Senate seat, the article says. With Huckabee out, the Republicans are left with few options in Arkansas.

Meanwhile, he reports that his first quarter of presidential fund-raising will show he's picked up $500,000. Spinning, he said that was his goal and he's satisfied, even if the Giulianis and Romneys and McCains of the Republican world are raising many millions. I caught a sliver of Huckabee on Hardball tonight. He was asked about money. He said that when candidates appear together, they don't wear signs showing how much each has raised. They compete on message. All true. But the money sometimes determines how often voters see and hear a candidate's message.

He'd get more votes for Senate than for potus, but I've never been convinced he was really, honestly aiming that high. I'd be pissed off if I had to choose between him and Pryor for Senate.

"I'd be pissed off if I had to choose between him and Pryor for Senate."

Ugh...that'd be...well, I don't know...I'd say the so-called social issues would keep me from Huckabuck; but it's not like Pryor can be counted on for siding with Dems. No telling what he'll morph into...issue wise.

(forgot)...but is he flying coach?

regardless of what pryor can be counted on on a lot of issues it is what you get with a senator who wants to please everybody, please do not even consider huck. i will vote against pryor in a primary because of the torture vote. if he wins i will not vote for the rethuglican. remember what the last 12 years have been like with the rethugs in the majority and giving them a senator from here would go a ways toward that goal. we cannot let our anger lose the senate for the democrats. we got pissed off at clinton and got frank white. then we got a monkey trial and were the laughingstock of the country but the hotels near the courthouse did good business. we have to look at the overall picture, i know how mad you are at pryor but don't help elect a rethuglican.

With Huckabee opting of the Senate race it leaves the GOP with no strong candidate to run against Mark Pryor.

The GOP has no one the bench that will mount a hard race against Pryor. Looks like someone of JIm Holt's caliber will the Repubs nominee next year.

test...I said test damn it!

I posted this 30 minutes ago and it didn't show up....hope I didn't post it to the Ark Fam Blog by mistake. I think the blog doesn't like the very long URL showing how Huck is spending his swollen PAC money. You can find out by diggin on www.vpap.org

Huckabee has no plans on running for anything in the future. He's learned a way to live like a rock star and never have another job in his life.....other than the job of being Mike Huckabee.

If you dig on www.vpap.org It shows he is eating very well, flying all over the place and having the adventure of his life. He can keep this up at least another 2 years and then find a cozy spot taking over for the fading Pat Buchanan, whose views no one is interested in any more.

To answer zelda's question....Huck often flies in a private jet owned by Central Flying Service in LR. Just for fun check out fat Huck promoting Dresner, Wicker & Associates, people he's been doing biz with for a long time and who currently get large chunks of swollen PAC money. Huck is a piece of work and he's never lazy when promoting himself is involved.
