Stupid Senate tricks

The Senate is doing what's required to kill House Speaker Benny Petrus' ethics legislation. But I hope the lobbyists' puppets, AKA senators, indeed amend it to outlaw gifts to legislators, thinking that the House would then kill the bill and take the fall for the failure of ethics legislation.  I think there's a chance to pass such legislation in the House, far and away the "upper" chamber in this legislative session.
