Those term limit ads

John Lyon at Stephens Media explains about pro-term limit ads that have appeared on TV in Arkansas lately. Rep. Will Bond's idea to extend legislative terms in a constitutional amendment that included some tougher ethics rules is dead for the session. Term limit backers said they just wanted to play it safe.

The story, by the way, notes that the legislature is probably through with constitutional amendments this session,  meaning they'll likely send only two to the ballot -- one to clean up some outdated language and the other to provide for annual legislative sessions.
