Dickson Street retreat

The Barber Group is scrapping its plan for a high-rise hotel and condo project on Dickson Street in Fayetteville, a hotly controversial issue. Morning News reports.

Good. Now with the news of foreclosure on a different Fayetteville developer we'll see some retreat from trying to develop every square foot. Let's hope the lake condos go under too.

This is very disappointing news. I'd hoped the building would be completed in time for the real estate bubble to burst. It'd be a shame if all those bankrupt developers had to jump out of windows too low to do them in humanely.

Well crap! This spoils my retirement plans! I had hoped to retire to this high rise condo in about 10 years. I've fantasied masturbating over the rail of my 20th floor balcony many times since I heard about this project.

How are those high rise condos coming along on Beaver Lake?
