Polling
I got that telephone poll call some others have mentioned tonight. I'm guessing, from the questions, that it's a labor union call. I'm guessing it's about an effort to protect restaurant workers from industry efforts to screw people who live on tip income.
But it does include a 2008 Senate question -- Mike Huckabee v. Mark Pryor. If anybody ever hears any results, you know who else wouild like to hear them.

Speaking of polls........I got a call Saturday that appeared to be a Mark Pryor poll gauging his favorable/unfavorable rating. After a few unfavorable answers the questions seemed to switch to how suscrptible the respondent would be to switching from unfavorable to favorable by asking questions about how the respondent rated Pryors position on a number of issues. Almost like a push/pull poll but not quite.
KInda strange, I thought.

Was it from the associated press on your caller ID? If so, I missed them today.

Do you actually listen to them, Max? I just can't do it anymore, so it's a good thing it isn't my job.
My listed telephone rings into my fax machine, which tells me who's calling, if I'm there, and if it's "Paradise Lake Resorts" or any number I don't recognize, I just let the fax machine take it. If I'm not there, everybody who calls gets "WEEE-AAAAW-WEEE---BEEDLEE-BEEDLEE-BEEDLEE ... " .
No one I know calls me on that line. My friends and family use my cell number, and I have my business calls forwarded to it. The whole arrangement has eased a great deal of tension in my life.

Euerka........my caller ID only showed "unknown name/unknown number". Nothing to indicate who the actual caller might be.
I normally would not answer those kind of id's but believe it or not there are still some exchanges that do not have the capability to utlize caller ID so I answered it. Won't do that again.......LOL.
