Prosecute the prosecutor

Well, this takes the U.S. attorneygate rhetoric up a notch or five.

It says here that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. believes U.S. Attorney Tim Griffin of Little Rock, the Karl Rove political operator installed in office here in a scheme designed to avoid Senate confirmation for Griffin and an untold number of other partisan U.S. attorneys, should be prosecuted. Reason: his involvement in Florida political efforts that Palast and Kennedy believe were intended to suppress the minority vote to help elect George W. Bush.

Here's a direct link to Palast's article on the subject and audio of his interview with Kennedy.

Comments

Be sure to listen to the audio of the interview at the bottom of the web page.

RFK Jr is a great man and it's a shame his vocal condition makes him an unlikely political candidate. He's head and shoulders above his cousin, Edward's son who currently serves in the U.S. House when he's not in rehab.

The 'caging' techniques mentioned in the article should definitely be prosecuted. Unfortunately, those winners, the American People, currently say, by 67%, that attorneygate is nothing more than a Democratic move to win political points.

Is this the same guy who said Katrina was punishment for Kyoto?

This is why I never wanted Timothy to resign.

Yes, except he was being facetious to point out the type of acts of God/punishments that Pat Robertson believes in, and, worse, actively prays for.

--Griffin boasted that, "No [US] national media picked up" the BBC story.--

Why didn't some US media report the story published by BBC?

Did the mainstream media fear the likes of Limbaugh-Hannity nailing them for getting their news from some kind of un-American Liberal Socialist front group?

Wouldn't that be an interesting exposé? The hate-monger radio crowd trumps the American mainstream media -- turns them into wimps.

--See no evil, hear no evil....

spirit you are totally right. bobby has done nothing but good most of his adult life. he has established a heating oil bank a few years back for the poor of new england to be able to draw on in bad times. he also did a lot of voting rights work just out of law school i seem to remember. his father must have instilled the ethic in him and it stuck. he would have been very proud of him. his work on air america is always solid and well researched.

My friends are sick of me harping on this. FINALLY someone is looking into the "caging" issue. If it is found to be fraud (and it sure looks like it) Rove, Griffin etc. should be left in Gitmo for the rest of their natural born days. You think Griffin has boasted his way into the big house?
