That about cinches it

Is there a columnist more overrated than David Broder? I've never been an admirer. But he's lionized by the inside-the-Beltway press herd. (Examples of his obtuseness: Until very recently, he's characterized the Justice Department scandal as a political nothing. He thought Bill Clinton should resign for lying about sex, but hasn't yet been moved to similar indignation by serial lies of the Bush administration.) But his rep means  this column praising Mike Huckabee and Bill Richardson can't hurt either of them.

Further proof of the total collapse of the so-called mainstream media.

A guy makes a joke about another guy's haircut and suddenly, in the estimation of bloviators like Broder, he's fooking presidential timber!

What a pair of dicks.

There is an old song that applies to Broder - He's Stayed Too Long at the Fair!
What a supercilious old man. Someone can crack a joke [as unsophisticated as the Hucks usually are] and this qualifies them for the presidency. Or, being a state executive is critical [even after he disparages both Clinton and Bushie who were governors] paying no attention to the lackluster nature of the Hucks performance taken as a whole.
You know I have always been against mandatory retirement, except in fields where poor performance is life threatening to others. Perhaps we can judge Broder to be life threatening to the Republic and force him into retirement!

Mark Pryor was just on cspan repeating the same old embarrassing fact free support for all the lies and failures that have occurred since he waltzed into DC.. He is a treasonous traitor with strong fascist tendencies. He may also be an idiot or on strong drugs but that is not an excuse for all the death and pain of out troops he embraces ...

The corporations and neo fascists like Bush and Pryor have truly gone round the bend... If we don't take back our country we deserve exactly what's in store.

Marks idea of peace is to put silencers on all the bombs.. so the innocent children wont know they are about to be blown up by nice polite Americans.

I have never understood the boners the Beltway insiders have had for Broder...he is such a clown.

However, I do like Bill Richardson. I don't think he stands much of a chance at getting the Dem nod, but he has the most impressive resume...

He'll bring out the Haters in force...Dem Messican!

David Broder = William Safire

I like Bill Richardson too. He says sensible things and his record as Gov is pretty good. He might have a shot at VP being from the west to balance Hillary, wherever you choose to say she's from. Plus being Hispanic....suddenly a very big plus except in Springdale.

"Is there a columnist more overrated than David Broder?"

John Brummett comes to mind.
