If Griffin goes with Thompson, it would be an early indicator that Thompson is the Anointed One by Rove et al. In a way it is surprising that Huckabee didn't gain some kind of traction for that spot. Huckabee has earned his corruption bonafieds, along with the prolife-for-unborn, death-to-the-criminals faux Christian credentials essential for a Republican nod.
Maybe Huckster should upgrade to a trophy wife?

I was thinking just the other day that the country sure needed another Republican actor to install on Mount Money alongside God Reagan. Who better to lead us out of the Iraq carnage/ Constitutional decimation and on to solving all our pressing problems like healthcare, global warming and a forgotten New Orleans than another idiot Republican whose chief claim to fame is his ability to play a 'personable' Dick Cheney in the movies. When this goober is the best thing the Republican Party can offer up to save its not-so stellar lineup of white-male presidential candidates, much less the country, you know the party that gave us President shit for brains is in its last throes.

Thompson won't be in longer than 3 months. He is just running on hype. He hates raising money, hates being on the campaign trail. He won't comit 6 days a week to the campaign trail or 18 hours a day to the fundrasing phones like a guy coming in in July has to do to win. You will see early good fundrasing numbers and support, but that is because he has a few supporters who is doing it all for him. When it comes time for Thompson to shake a leg he won't. He did the same thing as a Senator. B/c he doesn't hate Washington, he hates the work it takes to get and stay there.

Don't rule out the huckster yet, he might make a running mate for the VP slot on a Thompson ticket.

My cat just coughed up a hair-ball.....I think it hurt Huck, I'm almost sure it did.
We've got too much time on our hands if we're talking about a 3rd rate actor who was also a 3rd rate Senator, hurting the chances of a 3rd rate ex-Governor of Arkansas. No wonder Pryor looks pleasing to some next to these 2 jokers.
Jesus H. Christ (r) of Nazareth won't stand a chance in '08 even if Mike Gravel is the Democratic candidate. Taking up a moment to discuss any of the Republican candidates for President is a total waste of time.
It's worse than Onan spilling his seed on the ground....Genesis 38:9-10

If the democratic ticket is a Women a and African American man, the GOP has a good chance of winning. People keep forgetting that there is a big exspanse of land Between East and West Coasts. Obama won't get votes in the midwest, and Hillary won't gets votes in the south. A good middle of the road GOP canidate might win. The Arkansas Times and its readers might be ready for a women and a minority, but I don't think that the other 99.9997% of the population is ready.

If the choice comes down to Hillary and the fat bald Rovian hack actor we'll be be looking for a way to jigger it so that another hack actor -- Schwarzenegger the Austrian -- is made eligible to unseat Thompson in 2012.

Huckabee's entry into the race only diminished his chances of winning.

The mail just came and I got a Wal-Mart circular, 2 bills and an ACLU dues reminder.
Oh pity....I think that hurt Huckabee too. He's just a hurt-magnet all of a sudden. Bless um heart!

Janet Huckabee could whip Jeri Kehn's butt, and she probably will if given the opportunity.

OK........I have a question. Other than acting in B western movies and being the tour guide for Roberts before he was confirmed for the Supreme Court just exactly what has Thompson done, particulary during his stent in the Senate. What did he get passed? What good did he do for Tennessee? Anybody know anything about him, other than what I just typed.
OH......and lets not forget his forgettable appearences on Law and Order.
