Impeach Gonzales

And don't forget the president, Cheney.

Comments

The reasons to impeach him are not worthy to mention.
The president has the right to fire everyone of them and that is all that need to be said.

Bill Clinton, or Bill Wilson, or what ever his dad's name was, fired all of them one time.
His mother wasn't ,married when he was born.

i don't understand why these comittees put up with the lies. impeachment of gonzales is a no brainer. i would imagine the rethuglicans would even vote for that. if specter didn't after today he should have to turn in what little of an ethics card he has left. this was a worse performance than before. instead of not remembering he just said i will not answer. he might as well have said screw you.

Ok, one more time charlie. Bill Clinton's father was killed while his mother was pg with him. She had been married to the man but unlike you wacknuts, a woman cannot be married to a dead man. She was widowed. Got it?

I'm scanning my 1987 Republican Senate Committee(distributed at the county fair) issued copy of the Constitution for provisions of impeachment of the AG. ..
It's found in Article II sec. 4.
"..Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

Sheesh, chasv, you're even more incomprehensible than usual.

Who told you that or do you know it to be fact, lwood? Wilson from Hot Springs is all I heard from people who'd swear they knew. I don't care what ever. If what you say is true then why is Bill's younger brother is Roger Clinton?

chasv, Clinton's history is well known. Do some research.

The day of reckoning is coming.

Scoff, deny, use the usual CCRRR attack and diversion talkers, please continue. But Lincoln's homily is catching up with you.

P.S. Chas Vth! The handle link is for you since it is 100% certain you won't know the homily. Bless your little Bush believin' zealot heart!

mea culpa for the doublepost . . . tonight I have twitchy mouse.

Who said, "You can fool some of the people all the time, and those are the ones you want to concentrate on."?

I watched this partial birth abortion of a hearing today. My god, my 10th grader could have answered more questions and could have lied more convincingly.

I'm telling you...it started with Reagan...Gonzales is a puppet, the people that quit when the light was shown on them were collectively the Attorney General of the United States.

That's why Gonzales doesn't know a damn thing. When pinned down today he admitted he never issued a retraction of an earlier statement to the Committee, when asked who talked to the reporter, Gonzo said one of his spokesmen and then when asked what the spokesman said....Gonzo had no idea.....he's a puppet.

And all the more reason to get his ass out of the Justice Department. Schumer said today at the end of the hearing he just didn't know what to do.

I know...IMPEACH HIS ASS. I know ARREST Harriet Miers and waterboard her wrinkly old ass. Then we might see some action out of the White House.

Blythe......chasv....Blythe was Clinton's birth name. Then Mrs. Clinton married Mr. Clinton who adopted Bill and fathered Roger.

If you can find the AT blog, you can find Google and educate your own ignorant self.

Holy crap....chasv might very well work in the Cheney administration......his IQ is the same.

This whole bunch of lying liars, crooks, thugs, thieving, Constitution-breaking, smirking, lawless, arrogant, incompetent, stupid, retarded, money-hungry, murderers needs to be impeached!
99% of the Democrats believe Bush is doing a terrible job.
Well, No shit.
I used to respect Republican friends of mine, but if 69% of them still agree that Bush is doing a good job, I don't know that I trust their sanity.
Congress better get busy.

Patrick Leahy took the hide off Gonzolas. Lot's of protesters, too, calling for him to resign.

"His mother wasn't married when he was born."

What form of pond scum would consider that to be a meaningful criticism of a person who became President? What of any significance have you done with your life, chasvd?

The Ineptocrat-in-Chief and his "loyal chickenhawk may be taking steps to ignore sub-20% approval polls and any adverse landslide of vote.

We teeter on the brink of a coup, if the Bush encouraged Al-Qaeda attack doesn't occur so Bush and Cheney can seize power permanently in the crisis, will they send out a group of YR's in pancake make-up and false beards to do the deed?

Congressman Denied Access To Post-Attack Continuity Plans
Newhouse News Service

Tuesday 24 July 2007

Washington - Constituents called Rep. Peter DeFazio's office, worried there was a conspiracy buried in the classified portion of a White House plan for operating the government after a terrorist attack.

As a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, DeFazio, D-Ore., is permitted to enter a secure "bubbleroom" in the Capitol and examine classified material. So he asked the White House to see the secret documents.

On Wednesday, DeFazio got his answer: DENIED.

"I just can't believe they're going to deny a member of Congress the right of reviewing how they plan to conduct the government of the United States after a significant terrorist attack," DeFazio said.

Homeland Security Committee staffers told his office that the White House initially approved his request, but it was later quashed. DeFazio doesn't know who did it or why.

"We're talking about the continuity of the government of the United States of America," DeFazio said. "I would think that would be relevant to any member of Congress, let alone a member of the Homeland Security Committee."

Bush administration spokesman Trey Bohn declined to say why DeFazio was denied access: "We do not comment through the press on the process that this access entails. It is important to keep in mind that much of the information related to the continuity of government is highly sensitive."

Norm Ornstein, a legal scholar who studies government continuity at the conservative American Enterprise Institute, said he "cannot think of one good reason" to deny access to a member of Congress who serves on the Homeland Security Committee.

"I find it inexplicable and probably reflective of the usual knee-jerk overextension of executive power that we see from this White House," Ornstein said.

This is the first time DeFazio has been denied access to documents. DeFazio has asked Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., to help him access the documents.

"Maybe the people who think there's a conspiracy out there are right," DeFazio said.

I tell you what doc. Anyone who kills or condones the murdering of innocent babies is scum of the lowest thing on earth and Bill C is that. Don't ask me asked yourself what the hell have you done ? nothing I bet.

Finally the senators asked Abu about torture today.. Finally he suggested the president or vice president (through a specific denial) sent him to Ashcrofts hospital bedside, and he alluded to the strong possibility there are secret (illegal?) surveillance programs not yet exposed.

He spends minutes reviewing death sentences!!

And his streaming lies couldn't be stopped by a gallon of kaopectate.

Abu is first and foremost a war criminal from his time and actions in the White House before he was anointed AG with votes of approval by people like our Senator Mark Pryor.

Someone above mentioned Arlen Spector.. the very fellow who invented the magic Kennedy bullet theory, yes he is the one.. Yeah, like that guy can be trusted half as far as chasv could throw him.

Whatever Arlen says is exactly the opposite of what he intends to do..

Impeach (and if the Dem wits are not half way through impeachment investigations by primary season.. there will be hell to pay next November, imo)

Report Suggests Laws Broken in Attorney Firings

By Amy Goldstein
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, July 25, 2007; Page A03

House Democrats, preparing for a vote today on contempt citations against President Bush's chief of staff and former counsel, produced a report yesterday that for the first time alleges specific ways that several administration officials may have broken the law during the multiple firings of U.S. attorneys.

The report says that Congress's seven-month investigation into the firings raises "serious concerns" that senior White House and Justice Department aides involved in the removal of nine U.S. attorneys last year may have obstructed justice and violated federal statutes that protect civil service employees, prohibit political retaliation against government officials and cover presidential records.

The 52-page memorandum, from House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.), seeks to explain why Democrats are trying to overcome an effort by the White House to shield officials and documents from the congressional inquiry through a claim of executive privilege. The report also provides the first written account of the Democrats' interpretation of the firings and the administration's response to the controversy.

snip
In addition, the memorandum asserts repeatedly that the president's top political adviser, Karl Rove, was the first administration official to broach the idea of firing U.S. attorneys shortly after the 2004 election - an assertion the White House has said is not true.

In one of more than 300 footnotes, the Democrats point to a Jan. 6, 2005, e-mail from an assistant White House counsel that says that Rove "stopped by to ask . . . how we planned to proceed regarding U.S. attorneys, whether we were going to allow them to stay, request resignations from all and accept only some of them, or selectively replace them, etc."

Conyers Wimps Out

On Monday, Rep. John Conyers brushed off the heroic impeachment efforts of Cindy Sheehan, Rev. Lennox Yearwood, Ray McGovern, Medea Benjamin, David Swanson, 300 dedicated impeachment marchers, 1 million petition signers, resolutions from dozens of cities and towns, and activists who called his office every 30 seconds.

His reasons? First, he doesn't have the support of a majority of the House (218 votes) to impeach Bush or Cheney. Second, FOX News would attack him.

These are simply not acceptable reasons to allow George Bush and Dick Cheney to commit war crimes and shred the Constitution - and we're not going to accept them. Instead, we're going to fight harder than ever for impeachment.

Conyers doesn't have 218 votes today, but we can change that. Tell your Representatives to join the 14 sponsors of H.Res. 333, Articles of Impeachment for Vice President Cheney:
http://www.democrats.com/peoplesemailnetwork/88
Also call them at 202-224-3121 and demand co-sponsorship of H.Res. 333 now.

Conyers would be attacked by FOX News, but we can change that too. Let's boycott FOX News advertisers:
http://www.democrats.com/boycott-fox-news-advertisers

We must also give Conyers a backbone transplant. Let's flood Conyers and other House Judiciary Democrats with more emails than ever:

As tribute to our blog colleague, ChasV (an aside: does V stand for vacuous?), and his obvious hero, George W. Bush, I offer this, a comparison between King Charles V of Spain (aka Holy Roman Emperor) and G.W. Bush (with apologies to the original Charles V):

Charles V introduced the first use of the styles of His Majesty or His Imperial Majesty.
George W. has had such utterances as "I am the decider" and "This is my government."

Chas V rose to power through family connections and was crowned king and emperor in 1520 through, in no small part, bribery. GW Bush rose to power through family connections in 2000 through, in large part, political and judicial chicanery.

Although Spain was the core of his kingdom, Chas V was never totally assimilated. He was viewed as a foreign prince and could not speak Spanish very well. Although the United States is the country over which he, er, presides, GWB is viewed by many as an interloper and he cannot speak English very well.

Charles V is famous for his many mistresses. George W is known for his many miseries.

Chas V at first was very much a magnificent puppet in the hands of his ministers. Then slowly he began to assert himself and take control. George W. was assertive at the beginning but quickly became a magnificently malleable puppet in the hands of his ministers.

Charles V never acquired the habit of reading. Although GW Bush doesn't read often either, he has read "My Pet Goat" (on the morning of September 11, 2001) yet never got around to reading "Bin Laden Determined To Strike In U.S." some weeks earlier.

Chas V amused himself with mechanical toys. GW Bush enjoys farting in the company of others.

The Spanish monarchy was a contract with the people, and monarchs had been bound by laws. With Charles, it became more resolute and he answered to no one. The U.S. Constitution belongs to the people, but Geo W. Bush has subverted it, has become more resolute, and blind to the separation of powers clause. ("And, as you know, my position is clear: I'm a commander guy." - GWB)

Resistance against Charles V rose because of the heavy taxation to fund unpopular wars and because Charles tended to select Flemings for high offices. Resistance against Geo W Bush rose, in part, because of an unpopular war and because he tended to appoint lemmings to high offices.

The Magellan expedition and the conquests of Pizzaro and Cortez convinced Charles of his divine mission to lead a Christian world against a perceived threat from Islam. Geo W saw his divine right to lead shortly after the September 11 attacks, conflated the attacks to Islam and soon invaded Iraq.
A ChasV conquistador, Bernal Diaz, said, "We came to serve God and our Majesty ... and also to get rich." A Geo W. puppet master, Dick Cheney, says, "So where is the oil going to come from? The Middle East, with two-thirds of the world's oil and the lowest cost, is still where the prize ultimately lies."

During the Inquisition, Chas V says dispense with the ordinary course of justice and to show no mercy, "lest the criminal, if pardoned, should have the opportunity of repeating his crime." George W. Bush mocks a woman soon to be executed but commutes the sentence of a crony, Scooter Libby.

A final war erupts between France and Spain. Charles V abdicates halfway through the conflict, leaving its further conduct to others, including his son and successor. Come January 2009, George W. Bush will leave office, presumably peacefully and likely leaving the conduct of war to others.

The most important right that needs to be discussed is the right of the American people to fire this sitting President for his incompetency, his abuse of power, and his trashing of the US Constitution which he swore to uphold.
It is telling that little or no defense is given for Gonzales or Cheney by their supporters on this blog. Instead they engage in fruitless and pointless attacks against Bill Clinton, wholly getting off topic and showing us how weak their position is.
Most importantly, it will matter to all our children, grandchildren, and future generations to come whether we rid this country of the terrible blight known as Bush and Cheney. The arrogance and ignominy associated with these two elected leaders knows no parallel in American history.
The Republican sycophants and toadies who loyally worship this administration are deserving of our scorn for letting such men trample our Constitution on the guise of "executive privilege" as if they were above the law and concern of this country.
It is certainly time to say, Enough!"
I'm tired of these wicked men and their sanctimonious stooges. Again, "Enough!"
To those self-righteous true believers who've placed love of their country with servile subordination to such evil monsters, we say, "Enough!"
To those mindless drones who prefer to have heads of state who reign and rule rather than listen and lead, we say "Enough!"

My dear old father, bless him, never made me more proud when he admitted that voting for George Bush was the biggest mistake he and this country ever made. He recognized that his traditional conservative ideals of freedom and democracy were being shamefully aborted by this country club elite.
Even he says, "Enough!"

Chas Vth,

Since you are such a zealous protector of innocent babes' lives, ". . . Anyone who kills or condones the murdering of innocent babies is scum of the lowest thing on earth . . . " Why don't you expound on how your rationalize the thousands of innocent Iraqi children kiled by U.S. and coalition forces in Bush's invasion and by Bush's political appointee's failure to control Iraq and the insurgents during the occupation.

Your second-tier god, George W., likes to compare himself to Harry Truman, but he conveniently forgets Harry S. stood up and said "The Buck Stops Here." George W. is just an inept buck passer.

Thanks chasv for the honest answer. Good luck to your children and grandchildren in the future.

Hey Mark Pryor, senator, I am surprised at your comment above. Killing babies.
Mark if you'd read all my comments you'd know where I stand..
Iraq is in the middle of the muslim world. Just like Arkansas is in the middle of the USA. If a foriegn country invaded Arkansas all the other states would fight for her to be free. That is what's going on in Iraq!
There are some Christians over there but the majority are MUSLIM! They don't believe in Jesus Who you'd better know is the Son of God and you'd better confess him if you want to be with him in eternity! There is no other name under heaven where by men must be saved; no matter where you live in the world.
Mark you voted to invade Iraq and you want me to tell you how I feel about Iraqi babies being killed. We still have babies being killed here in the womb.. which is the most abominal thing we can do. If I can't get it stop here why the hell do you think I could stop it over that in Iraq?
DBI use my email to get more aquainted if you please.

Wow

Double wow.

Triple Wow.

Thanks Chas Vth, your post clears up your mental processes and that your concern for the lives of innocent babes is limited to those being raised by Christians.

Just to help out with whatever fog made you think I'm Mark Pryor. I am as disgusted with him as DBI, even more than you are.

I would rather vote for a Republican, at least then I could expect him to vote as advertised. Mark is a stealth Republican trolling for the NWArk carpetbagger/reconstructionist/Walmart imigrant votes with the ethics, intelligence and ammorality so well evinced by the Republican administration for the last seven years.

Ol' chasv needs to kick the dimmer switch into gear on his halo. Too many of you seem to be blinded by the atomic glow emanating from his wisdom pile.
The Crusader mentality still hides the deep prejudices and self-anointed piety that are still so common in certain medieval minds.
If it is so wrong to kill babies and children then why did God order it done? It says so very plainly in the scripture.

I'd have to go back a few days to see if it was Mark Pryor that I thought was commenting here by that name because it looked as thou it was signed by him..
Sorry but I like to say a few things to M. P. After all I figured ole Mark might be reading Max's blogs.
Never did I say it was ok to kill Iragi children so keep you damn twisted liberal mind to yourself. Where do you get the idea that we are killing Iraqi children?
Up until lately our soldiers were being killed by young Iraqi kids with bombs strapped to their bodies....... Were you born last night?
stuff it.
Hate begets hate and Love beget love. Why do they hate the british and americans so much?
This webblog is like Morton Salt when it rains it pours.. lol

Jake ole snake. What a name. It was satan that is a snake.
I know of one child that God let die no where have I read in the bible that God ordered Children to be killed.
What were you reading?
Are you out of your mind...

Jake I must apologize? I know what you were talking about and one time was in Genesis where God told King Soul to kill men, women and children.
He can and we must remember that God can kill body and soul if he desired too. He knows what happens when we die and where we go because he is life.
Be careful not to mock God our Father.

Another time God sent the great flood that killed all people on earth except for Noah and his family...
YOU'RE RIGHT, God can do what ever he wants because he is "I am that I am," so be carefull.

Thanks for doing a little research, chasv. You also need to check out Genesis 7: 21-23; Exodus 11:7 and 12:29; Leviticus 26: 16-39; Numbers 16: 20-35; Joshua, the 10th chapter for one; and these two go together 1st Samuel 15: 2-3 and Deuteronomy 25:19.
I humbly disagree with all your claims about god and have no fear that such exists. It is sad that your god is so hypocritical about the rules he makes. Nearly every child has seen the phoniness that comes about when someone in authority says, "Do as I say, not as I do." The ol' sarcasm meter definitely goes to spinning.

Despite my personal feelings about religion, I find a lot of solace and comfort in playing gospel music and giving it a boogie twist (a la Pentacostal style). I spent unpteen years and Sundays attending church, not to mention Wednesday night meetings and 5-7 revivals per year for at least a decade or so. Heard it all, saw it all; was baptized and sanitized.

Happily, I was born again back to my natural state: that skeptical agnostic. I am pleased to report that the condition is permanent and quite stress reducing.

Your pronouncements are simply another soul crying out for vindication and vengeance against those who disagree with it. I accept you the way you are and hope you'll learn to accept others who found a different road to peace and happiness other than your path.

If you can accept god with all his shortcomings then more power to you. I won't inundate you with further verses about such. I'm not into that persecution crap, anyway.

Go in peace and let others live in peace.

I am glad to inform you snake that you were not born again to your old state because it is impossible. You are in a backslided state. Or else you were never saved/born again, ie. in the first place... I am not a judge but I know Jesus personally.
I am also glad to inform all that I am not vindictive or vengeful. One thing I am and that is I am witness and that is what motivates me to encourage people like you to know the Lord and be happy because he died for you and me to save our lousy souls, Hallelujah

Hearing ends for Marine accused of killing Iraqi children and women By: North County Times - CAMP PENDLETON -- A local Marine admitted three times to investigators that he knew women and children were his targets when he pulled the trigger of his automatic rifle in a bedroom of an Iraqi home . . ."

It's O.K. because it was too dark to see that he was shooting children. Right Chas Vth?

http://www.mercurynews.com/nationworld/ci_6436603?nclick_check=1

". . . The U.S. military said the dead were insurgents and the homes in the Husseiniyah district probably served as weapons depots; troops observed seven or more secondary explosions after the air assault. By the military's tally, six fighters were killed and five wounded. Iraqi residents told a different version: The dead came from two Shiite Muslim families who lived in an area controlled by the powerful Mahdi Army militia. The bodies pulled from the rubble, locals say, were ordinary parents killed with their children in the middle of the night. Locals counted 11 corpses - two men, two women, and seven children. Ten more were injured. Some Iraqi authorities put the death toll as high as 18. . . "

They must be lying since they are Muslim, probably Al-Qaeda, right Chas Vth?

http://www.iraqbodycount.org/editorial_feb0704.php

". . . At least 33 of the victims are reported to have died when US helicopter gunships strafed a residential neighbourhood in the city of Hilla on Tuesday. Aid agencies say they are increasingly worried about the mounting number of civilian victims of the war. The doctors at Saddam Hussein Hospital said many homes and schools, which were near military targets in the city, had been hit. They said they had treated more than 1000 injuries.

On Tuesday, officials from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) - accompanied by Iraqi colleagues - visited a hospital in Hilla, about 100 kilometres (70 miles) south of Baghdad . ICRC spokeswoman Nada Doumani said the team 'witnessed a vehicle transporting bodies of men, women and children to the hospital and in the hospital they saw also some 300 injured people and it was very clear that this was the result of heavy fighting and bombings'. . . "

Just more liberal lies, right Chas Vth

". . . In mid-November the US launched "Operation Iron Hammer" in which the bombing of targets within Iraqi towns and cities was resumed. On the 19th AP reported that:

The U.S. Air Force used some of the largest weapons in its inventory to attack targets in central Iraq in an escalating crackdown on suspected guerrilla strongholds, the military said Wednesday.

A pair of 2,000-pound satellite-guided bombs were dropped late Tuesday near Baqouba, 30 miles northeast of Baghdad, on "camps suspected to have been used for bomb-making," said Maj. Gordon Tate, a spokesman for the 4th Infantry Division.

Near the northern city of Kirkuk, fighter-bombers dropped 1,000-pound bombs on "terrorist targets," he said without elaborating.
It was unclear whether the airstrikes caused any casualties, Tate said.

- while by the 22nd the Washington Post was reporting that "Fighter jets have dropped 500-pound bombs in the cities of Samarra, Ba'iji, Balad and Baqouba."

On the 23rd of November came a report from the BBC of an almost exactly concurrent and little-noticed event in Europe:

"WWII bomb causes Milan evacuation"
Italian police evacuated 55,000 people from the centre of Milan while an army bomb disposal team defused an unexploded World War II bomb.
The unexploded 1,000-pound bomb was dropped by the allies during the bombing of Milan in the war.
Shortly after dawn police began evacuating people living within a radius of one kilometre from the building site.
Traffic at one of Europe's busiest railway terminals nearby came to a halt during the bomb disposal operation and all trains were diverted to other parts of the city.
Elderly people and children were taken to local schools and given meals and hot drinks while an army bomb disposal team defused the bomb.
The bomb was successfully defused after about two hours of work.
It will be transported to an underground quarry on the city outskirts where it will be blown up in a controlled explosion.

The contrast could not be more stark. When the lives of Western European bystanders could be threatened, no effort or expense is spared by Western leaders to prevent a single death, and rightly so. When the lives of Iraqi women and children are at stake, it is a different story. Other priorities suddenly prevail.

Every human death is a tragedy. Every human life snuffed out requires honouring, remembering, grieving, and comforting and supporting the bereaved.

Iraqi civilian deaths were caused by the actions of the US and UK governments, voted for by the elected representatives of these two countries, paid for out of the tax revenues supplied by the citizens of these countries, and undertaken on the back of promises by the political leaders of these two countries that "everything possible" would be done to avoid civilian casualties. . . ."

Just more liberal, wimpy, bleeing heart propanganda, right Chas Vth. I am a Vietnam Veteran. I have voted both Republican and Democrat (I am now ashamed to admit , I actually voted for Nixon) I am and have been a Christian (Presbyterian and RSOF) for most of my life I spent six years running and repairing the nuclear plants in ships like the one your son served on. I have five campaign stars on my Vietnam Service Medal (www.history.navy.mil/medals/vsn.htm). I will tell something we learned while serving during a war and in country. People get killed in wars and bullets bombs and explosives have no selective ability to avoid "innocent children." Sometime it even gets photographed (openlearn.open.ac.uk/.../1297/formats/print.htm scroll down below 1.2)

So go on Chas Vth be selective about condemning the ". . . deaths of innocent children . . ," some day you may develop a conscience and feel guilt about supporting an unilateral invasion and botched occupation that caused the death of my innocent children and civillians, but it's o.k. because your little second tier tin god professes a desire to eliminate legal abortions.

I contributed to that Vietnamese child's pain and injuries anbd a lot of others death by my service as did McCain and Kerry and a lot of other Vietnam Veterans. It's my guilt and my sin and I accept that I will be held to account for my actions on judgement day. You should recognize that you will be held to account for your contributions to the death of innocent Iraqi children and civillians as well.

Isn't it ironic: If we meet someone and the first thing they do is put us down and tell us how lousy we are, we'd probably turn around and never speak to that person again. If that's how a "supreme" being operates, then they need to take a Dale Carnegie course on dealing with the public.
Like I said, chasv: you got yours and I've got mine. If Hell is not about vindictiveness and vengeance, then Hitler would be loved by everyone because he acted just like the biblical God.
Understand this chasv: you and any other "sinner" in this universe do not have any right to dictate to me how I should believe, why I should believe, and what I should believe. It's my American right and I'm asking you to respect it.
Be happy in what you have and know that I am just as happy in what I believe. Some day you need to read the book called The True Believer. It really describes in detail many of the ways you behave and act.

I have a peace that surpasses your understanding chasv. Backsliding for me would be going back to the narrow-minded ways of the literalists who are trying to make blind loyalty and zealotry replace reasoning and an open mind. It's as if a leper is asking me to embrace and ingest his disease as a sign of my faith and trust.

No amount of holy mumbo jumbo, abracadabra, hallelujah, amen, Elvis sighting, and letters of recommendation from Jesus can persuade me otherwise. From stardust we came and to stardust we return. That thought alone holds enough mystery and amazement for me.

No priest or preacher yet born has proven to me they're wise enough to know the purpose behind it all. Most just ape what they've been told as little children sitting around the campfire as the adults and shamans told their stories and legends. Just like the fire, they keep us warm and comfortable and keep away the monosters who lurk in the dark.

Pleasant dreams and good night. Say a prayer or a mantra or just acknowledge another succssful tick-tock of the cosmic clock. It doesn't take any special book or person for us to realize how to bring hope, joy and humor into each new day.

I wonder if there's a link between man's discovery of fire and his discovery of religion?

God does not force his ways on any one! You both can believe what you want.
I appriciate all our men that served in the millitary and especially the men that served in time of war. You are special and you should be #1 citizens in our country and should be treated that way by the government.
I have friends that served also, one was leader of squad in vietnam that captured camps that had his name on papers they found there. If he talks about his tour he has horrible nightmares about it... I don't mention the war anymore to him.
I have a neighbor that had 2 ships shot out from under him. He floated for 7 days in the ocean before he was rescued. He is a hero to me. If it not for God love for you you may not be here to day.. but thanks very much.

Very kind words, chasv. Thank you. Yesterday was rather eventful because my heart stopped 3x during a "routine" colonoscopy exam. I was still in a bit of a Demerol haze and the weight of the issue has still not sunk in.

Anyway, look forward to further communications with you in the future. Take care.
