Presidential prognosticating

John Brummett dropped by the recent Clinton School appearance by political journalists John Harris and Mark Halperin. Bottom line: Hillary and Romney.

In a quick, informal poll here at FLOATY WORLD HQ it's been determined that these two professional big timers are off their gourd if they think Mitt's gonna get it. We don't want to say he has as good a chance as Ron Paul but....

Halperin is a joke, in the same vein as David Broder. For info on Halperin's courting of right wing media:

I must agree with "gloves" beltway pundits are getting very ridiculous not to mention irrelevant.
Glen Greenwald fries them up nicely yesterday in Salon:

What Beltway media stars mean by "centrism" and "extremism"

(updated below)

As always, when wielded by Beltway media stars, the terms "centrist" and "moderate" and "mainstream" mean "whatever views I personally happen to hold on a topic, regardless of how many Americans actually share it." Hence, the unanimous, wise Beltway wisdom was that Barack Obama "blew it" in the last Democratic debate by proclaiming his willingness to meet with leaders of hostile countries, while Hillary Clinton scored a big victory.

Oh goodness! John Brummett predicted something! That must mean it's gonna come true.
