Show your contempt
I like this idea. A growing grassroots movement to demonstrate from noon to 1 p.m. every Sunday. In Little Rock, a group will be out with signs at Markham and Cumberland this Sunday with a simple message:
ENOUGH. Enough of this Administration, the lies, the war, the cronyism, the corruption

Comments
That's really gonna mess up Frank Fellone's (Drivetime Mahatma) driving patterns.

And ENOUGH of the Little Rock School Board. And ENOUGH of Central Arkansas Water. And ENOUGH senseless crime. And ENOUGH freak fatalities.

I like the idea too...
I went to the website and it looks like there is only one confirmed attendee. Is this correct?

"..only one confirmed attendee."
When the anti-war Viet Nam protests began at UoA ('66) there was one, then two, later about 6 regulars who peacefully carried signs on the sidewalk outside the old student union building.
By 69 there were several hundreds who attended protest rallies. You gotta start somewhere.

We're at talking stage now JD, in Fay.
I would gladly do it if my lungs allow me the freedom and humidity doesn't drive me indoors.
Speaking of Fayetteville be sure to catch Street Jazz post on the Bush School. No kidding there is already a Bush School, oxymoron that it is. It's below the Johnny Tittle bit in todays thread.

The most important right that needs to be discussed is the right of the American people to fire this sitting President for his incompetency, his abuse of power, and his trashing of the US Constitution which he swore to uphold.
It is telling that little or no defense is given for Gonzales or Cheney by their supporters on this blog. Instead they engage in fruitless and pointless attacks against Bill Clinton, wholly getting off topic and showing us how weak their position is.
Most importantly, it will matter to all our children, grandchildren, and future generations to come whether we rid this country of the terrible blight known as Bush and Cheney. The arrogance and ignominy associated with these two elected leaders knows no parallel in American history.
The Republican sycophants and toadies who loyally worship this administration are deserving of our scorn for letting such men trample our Constitution on the guise of "executive privilege" as if they were above the law and concern of this country.
It is certainly time to say, "Enough!"
I'm tired of these wicked men and their sanctimonious stooges. Again, "Enough!"
To those self-righteous true believers who've placed love of their country with servile subordination to such evil monsters, we say, "Enough!"
To those mindless drones who prefer to have heads of state who reign and rule rather than listen and lead, we say "Enough!"
My dear old father, bless him, never made me more proud when he admitted that voting for George Bush was the biggest mistake he and this country ever made. He recognized that his traditional conservative ideals of freedom and democracy were being shamefully aborted by this country club elite.
Even he says, "Enough!"

I've joined my daughters in anti-war protests in Fort Baptist led by a group of feisty nuns. Though it felt good, it was pretty depressing.
4, 6, 12 of us standing in the cold and the heat and the rain. Punks throwing cokes at kids standing by the road holding peace signs. Getting chased off by a dangerous acting thug protecting the land in front of Crotty Foot Clinic.
How brave of grown people in nice cars, stopping to threaten an ass kicking to junior high students. I tell you....it made me think maybe Osama had a point, at times.
Fort Baptist isn't paying attention to this war. They don't give a damn. They're busy! Yes...there were honks of support, more than from the anti crowd. But still...in an area of 100 thousand people and the best we can do is 15 people on a good day. No wonder Cheney is winning.
If they were drafting our kids, parents and the college students would wake up. I see that as the big difference between 2007 and 1967. If Dan Rather was on TV every night at dinner time showing the misery we're causing.....that might help bring the truth home.
If we had a Congress full of patriotic people instead of greedy bastards busy enriching themselves and their backers......that might change things.
Our own 2 Senators are acting like the war in Iraq is a used condom laying in front of the lockers next to the study hall. They say nothing and they do nothing about it. What's it going to take for Lincoln and Pryor to figure out a lot of us are mad as hell and fixing to get surly.
The Cheney Team can't find dead black people floating in New Orleans, but they're masters of telling truths that are 3/4th lies. Just enough to keep from being nailed. Need I say anything more than Alberto Gonzales? What laws those criminals don't change to fit their purposes, they skirt right up to the edge.
Well....ENOUGH is too light a word. ATTACK is a much better word. Since America is now the largest 3rd world country, it looks like we're going to have to do things the Argentina way. A year of citizen uprising might wake Pryor and Lincoln up....just might.
And it's high time Boozman quit sucking Cheney ass and be a man. His legacy is being Bush's Mini-Me. At long last...be a MAN John.
Bring me a national anti-war-anti-Bush leader who'll give us a plan and I'll show up. 4 old nuns and 8 junior high kids ain't gonna cut it.
Put aside the war in Iraq for 90 days and concentrate on the war in America. We're going down without a fight. And that's sure as hell NOT the American way.
