Child marriage

Brummett reviews the drafting error that opened the door, a tiny crack, to the uintentional consequence of child marriage. He concludes -- sensibly -- that letting common sense, the work of the Code Revision Commission and the unlikelihood of successful legal action constitute the preferable course to cope, not a special session.

Comments

If they don't like the editing job that the Code Commission does in their role of cleaning up after them, let these goober-grabbers live with their handiwork until the next regular session. Just say NO to a special session.

I can see the prospects for a new reality/game show now:

"ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A LEGISLATOR?"
