His and hers seats

Interesting tally of the rising number of spouses running for the legislature when term limits ends one's time. They have a natural advantage. Another unintended consequence of a bad law.

Comments

I agree term limits is a bad law.

Babies and bathwater comes to mind but how is getting more women involved and elected bed on the face?

Is your insinuation that only the wives of hate-filled, gay-bashing, corporate sellouts' would take advantage of the trend?

Dang! Should be bad not bed. Maybe I should go back to bad, oops bed.

Hmm, the most interesting thing to me is that it looks like usually the women follow the men. Since women live longer than men, is there the possibility that we may end up with more women than men in government?

The possibilities...

CH, it looks like it's both parties that it is happening. It may be an unintended consequence, but in was not portrayed as necessarily bad. Just unintended.

I take that last part back. Calling it a bad law gives the impression that it is a bad thing for spouses and children to go for the same posts. I am personally ambivalent.
