Jail time for Gonzo?

Turns out Alberto resigned in the midst of a big-time probe of whether he lied to Congress and inappropriately injected politics into Justice Department jobs. Inspector General Glenn Fine is asking questions of job applicants that suggest he's onto something:

In the questionnaires, Fine asks applicants whether they were quizzed by political appointees about their party affiliation, favorite politicians and judges, voting history, campaign contributions, and views on the death penalty and terrorism, according to a copy of the Aug. 24 questionnaire obtained by The Washington Post. Recipients are also asked to say whether White House aides participated in the interviews and to confirm if they were asked "what kind of conservative you were (law and order; social; fiscal)."

I think Monica Goodling testified very clearly that these were exactly the kind of questions she asked job applicants, so we should know how this will all turn out. The big question is will Bush have the gall to award Gonzales his Medal of Freedom in his jail cell or if they'll have the award ceremony in the prison dining room so the press will have plenty of room?

poor gonzo. but do you really think he would do any more time than scooter? he was just being a loyal bushie. those bastards will stoop lower than snakes to take care of each other. it sounds like goodling and sampson are the fall guys in this one and gonzo will plead i know nothing. it is called the sergant schultz defense.

Let me understand this. Apparently there are three kinds of conservatives, law-and-order, social and fiscal. Is that right? Is that all? And were they looking only for a certain *kind* of conservative, or were they fishing for some kind of even distribution? Do the different kinds of conservatives get along? I'm just curious.

Those are usual ones widj, but there's a THIRD kind of Repbulican whose emerging to take over the party:

.............. "Weird Sex is Great till You Get Caught Republicans"

oops. FOURTH kind of Republican.
