Let the sun shine in
It is to laugh. The Arkansas Republican Party is circulating a Washington Times editorial urging Hillary Clinton to find a way to speed release of material in the presidential library related to her work as first lady. If her record and experience are important, said the editorial, "then the public has a clear and compelling right to compare the records against the rhetoric."
Yes, indeedy. And I expect the Moonie Times and the RPA to urge Mike Huckabee to respond with alacrity to my request that he release his gubernatorial papers and the Governor's Mansion papers he's so zealously protected, along with income tax returns and full medical records.
That address: PO Box 34010, Little Rock, AR 72203. Let's compare records with rhetoric.

I am dumbfounded that you do not support the release of Sen. Rodham Clinton's papers from her term as Co-President.
One more thing, the LA Times (hardly a right-wing hack of a paper) wrote a similar piece on Monday.
Speaking of medical records, I would not mind seeing hers, as well as those of her Co-President's.
ARK. BLOG: I do support the release. So does the library. I also support release of Huckabee papers.

Leave us not forget that one of the first things Puppet Bush did the first days in office was seal up government papers like they've never been sealed before. Can't go digging thru Clinton's papers, nor Papa Bush's, nor Reagan's either. The Cheney administration has put off limits documents that have been available to the public for years and years.
Now what in the name of Martha Mitchell is Bush trying to hide? I can understand if the fine folks in LR haven't got to the end of 2 million plus Clinton documents, but old man Bush has been out of office since January, 1993...14 years! And lord god if Ken Starr didn't find any dirt on Hillary, an OB/GYN with one of those prong things won't either. We don't know this moment what Cheney is up to and he just might get us killed. Finding out what he's doing and going to do is a lot more important than digging up stuff on a former first lady.
What will we find out when the 2 million papers are released? That Hillary broke a plate out of the official White House China? That she was caught smoking in the bathroom? That the dog....Buddy...was that his name......that Buddy pissed on the carpet? That Hillary was fond of peanut butter & bacon sandwiches late at night? That Bill bought her something real nice after the Monica thing came out in the open?
Gracie Allen, late great wife of the late great George Burns loved sterling silver. After a new friend commented on a giant ornate silver punch bowl sitting in the middle of the dining room table, Gracie said, Oh that's what George gave me to make up after I caught him having an affair. She added, I wish he'd cheat again, I need the matching cups.
I do not fear the 2 million papers. I fear the Republican neo-con crooks currently at work. And I'll be happy when every record of every administration in history is online in big print. Too much information never killed anyone.

Seems a pretty fair disclosure exchange. RR, GHW Bush, Huckabee's treasures in exchange for Hillary's non-official, non-elected material. What say you Red?

Oh, btw, What's happened with Barbara Bush's records?

So if they are unofficial, why are they being vetted through NARA?
As for Huckabee, seems like you could go to OBU to check that stuff out. What is stopping that from happening?

I agree. Everybody release everything. Maybe Huck and the Arkansas Republicans should remember his comment the other day about hypocrisy, though, before they start raising too much hell on this issue. Remember those hard drives.

One thing for damn sure a million years from now we still won't know what was on 87 crushed hard drives that Huck destroyed on the way out the door. Clinton, either of them would be hanging on an old rugged cross if they destroyed their official documents early in January, 2001.
