A correspondent reports continuing progress in a drive to gather sufficient signatures for a recall election on Little Rock City Director Erma Hendrix. The effort has prompted a question: Who's to replace her if she is recalled? The city board, City Attorney Tom Carpenter says. At least one other legal opinion exists -- that under the newly changed form of city government, if the recall occurs more than six months before the next election (which it would), a special election would be required. In which, presumably, Hendrix could run again. All just idle talk at this point.
