Steak news

A couple of steak lovers have written that they'd seen private club drink permit notices today for the Ruth's Chris steak house soon to open in Rogers. Good location for these guys. This is the overpriced Rush Limbaugh- and Sean Hannity-endorsed chain with roots in New Orleans that jerked its corporate headquarters from New Orleans after Katrina and also refused to reopen its mid-city restaurant there. I'll stick with Doe's, thanks.

Listen, in Jesusland (Benton County) you really need a tourists' guide to private clubs. They're everywhere. With that many bucks floating around waiting to be spent on the newest "in" place
I'm surprised Hugh Hefner's daughter is not casing the place for a rabbit ears club.
.

Ruth's Chris - overpriced? - That's a subjective decision - and well worth what I paid for mine.

Not sure what's wrong with yanking ANY company's headquarters out of the corrupt, cesspool, destined-to-flood-again New Orleans. I don't blame ANY company for avoiding that area. Matter of fact, I would question the wisdom of any company locating their facilities in an area that depends on leaky dykes, er dikes to stay above water.

I loved Ruth's Chris in New Orleans, back in the bad ole days.

So, with Pus Phlegmball is giving steaks rave reviews, one has to question any sane person taking restaurant tips from him.
