What's a few bullets among friends?

I guess if the surge wasn't working insurgent arms fire would have brought down the Air Force plane carrying congressmen. The Republicans on board told Fox later that the attack on their plane didn't shake their optimism about the situation in Iraq.

Considering we are shooting over a billion bullets a year which now leaves our own police here at home in short supply.. I think it's going to get much worse very soon. The last 500 Brits are leaving southern Iraq since all they could really accomplish down there was hiding in a bunker for months and months.. taking fire almost constantly..

We have a riddled Intel Estimate report which says at best a couple (out of 18, iirc) of benchmarks have been met.. We have the GAO sending their reports to the newspapers first, so the Bush Admin won't edit it into another big lie.

We have a lot of creative math being used which only after fudging the numbers can they make it look like the violence is about as bad as it ever was... which a little research shows violence is clearly it is up all over Iraq and on the increase.

We have our last hand picked Iraqi Prime Minister, Allawi, who is tied with Gov Haley Barbors lobbying firm, the PNAC crowd and Hillary Clinton, all of whom are supporting the overthrow of a democratically elected Maliki.. Why? Because Maliki is actually standing up and saying to the Americans over and over again... until the US stops their occupation nothing will change... US can go home now.

We have members of congress and the senate flying over to Baghdad for 18 stays inside heavily fortified bases/green zone for power point presentations which repeatedly lie and say the surge is working.. Patraeus will admit when cornered.. he needs nine or ten more years.. When congress members land in Baghdad a soldier has a prepared file on each member which spells out their record/stand on all things Iraq.. the entire powerpoint presentation by the military is designed to address each individuals weakness..

The lies, the genocide, the killing and draining of our treasure continues unabated. And Bush/ Cheney are asking for huge amounts of additional funds so they can pursue their decades old PNAC plan of attacking Iran (75 million people) very soon.

Everything I can find suggests congress (R's and D's) will not even try to stop this madness.

I don't know exactly what happened but I went to the link and my mouse slid to the bottom of page and as I squeezed it I accidentally clicked on this:

The Republican Party is going down. Literally.

FROM BLOG: Bay Area Houston - Welcome to the Bay Area Houston Blog designed for the Clear Lake and surrounding area of Houston Texas. Home of NASA Johnson Space Center.

The following blog post is from an independent writer and is not connected with Reuters News. The opinions and views expressed herein are those of the author and are not endorsed by Reuters.com.

How much longer will it take for independent voters to realize the Republican party is not the party of "family values", "fiscal responsibility", or "personal responsibility". These are nothing but slogans to the GOP, simple minded comments that have little to do with reality<<

What is amazing is that the above was on an international news page.
.

The sheets of paper seemed to be everywhere the lawmakers went in the Green Zone, distributed to Iraqi officials, U.S. officials and uniformed military of no particular rank. So when Rep. James P. Moran Jr. (D-Va.) asked a soldier last weekend just what he was holding, the congressman was taken aback to find out.

In the soldier's hand was a thumbnail biography, distributed before each of the congressmen's meetings in Baghdad, which let meeting participants such as that soldier know where each of the lawmakers stands on the war. "Moran on Iraq policy," read one section, going on to cite some the congressman's most incendiary statements, such as, "This has been the worst foreign policy fiasco in American history."

No one has to be very bright to figure out what I'd really like to write in this space. But it has been suggested in the liberal blog world that no one hand the dying Republicans any ammunition to fire back in their lowest moment. U.S. Senator James Inhofe United States Senator, of Oklahoma was on that plane. He's not the Devil, Cheney's the Devil, but Inhofe is as worthless as tits on a boar hog.

Never missing a chance to say something insanely stupid, like no member of his entire family is in any way, shape or form, homosexual. The rest of the time he behaves in such a manner that would lead an idiot to understand exactly why Osama hates us.

In general I don't wake up hating people, but the last 7 miserable years have sure made me....uh...unappreciative of blow hard, do nothing politicians who embarrass us when they're not doing something to make this country a worse place to live. Inhofe, like Mark Pryor voted to torture people. He's so wrapped up in Israel that he'd gladly hand over the keys to America to them. In fact he made a speech in March, 2002 blaming 9-11 not on gays, but on America's failure to support Israel every second of every minute of every day.

I'm sick of Congress being full of nuts. Like the cop said to Senator Toe Tapper Craig...no wonder we're going down the tubes. The Senate is supposed to be composed of the best and the brightest, it nows more resembles a cross between the Arkansas State Hospital and Tucker prison farm. And to quote the cop again, no wonder we're going down the tubes.

If no one, our side, their side, can shoot them down, what we should be doing is voting them out of office. So far the reasons to reelect Mark Pryor are 1. he's raised a lot of money, 2. though he votes the opposite he counts as a Democrat, 3. David Pryor's son, 4. there might be one honorable, intelligent Republican found in Arkansas who will get that seat.

Find the good reason to reelect Mark Pryor from that list. Those aren't good enough reasons to bring home a dog from the pound.......no wonder we're going down the tubes! It's like that story in chasv's Bible about Noah trying to find one good man in Sodom and Gomorrah all over again. We need a 2nd big flood today....a flood of angry voters voting these horses asses out of office. Then torturing Inhofe can spend more time with his perfectly straight family and torturing Mark Pryor can stay home and pull the wings off flies while the rest of us rebuild this country into something great again.

Look around you....war, torture, scandal, crooks, hypocrites, deficits, the incredible loss of American jobs, vote fraud, Haditha, New Orleans abandoned, bridges falling down, mine disasters, poison food, everything made in China and covered in lead, fake news networks, CIA spies outed, Arkansas in 49th since 1959 when Hawaii & Alaska joined the Union moving us out of 47th......and recently we discovered Dillard's sucks. Based on the misery all around us, NO ONE should be reelected and every incumbent should be shot out of the skies! Wake up!
